Maybe I shouldn’t have read this novel. The synopsis did give a warning, so that part is on me — I jumped in because of the high ratings and the promise of “no nationalism or racism.”

But I really dislike stories that involve rape or anything close to coercion. I can’t see how forcing or gaslighting a teenage girl — especially by someone with a mentally mature mind — can ever be framed as acceptable. And please don’t argue “it wasn’t rape” just because she eventually agreed. If you wouldn’t tolerate your sister, mother, or girlfriend being treated that way, then it’s not okay here either. Saying “it’s just fiction” doesn’t help; fiction often reveals the darker instincts people excuse in themselves.

Yes, readers are free to give high ratings — and I have the same freedom to judge based on my own preferences. Just like some people give 1-star ratings to harem novels for simply being harems, I can rate this low because coercive romance is something I absolutely won’t tolerate.

Just because I disliked a novel that many people liked, I’m now being targeted. Every week, someone comes to lecture me. Have I ever said that the readers are wrong? Then why are you taking this personally?

Plenty of people give one-star reviews to harem novels without even reading them, simply because they are harems—and they are never targeted for it. At least I have a clear reason for my dislike: I don’t like MCs who are written as rapists. Am i wrong to have dislike? Review section exist for democracy.

So why am I being targeted?

The MC is a rapist.

It’s not good—far too sick. In a very short time, the MC gets used to the methods of the demonic cult; he was already someone inclined toward evil. He rapes women without hesitation too fast. I don’t like reading the story of a degenerate rapist. This novel is extremely sick, Intended for people people with a superiority complex who think they’re above morality, Meh. If you have even a some of moral fiber, stay far away from this garbage.

I am confused why the MC is 50k in debt. What did he use the money on!? I am still waiting for the debt to be explained. Also MC and his team found a really good cultivator aid that can sell for 100k to right ppl but they sell for 13k to "research" place who will definitely make several times that in profit. MC doesn't borrow money to buy it instead. He benefits heavily from using it. Idiot.

Also his parents are pretty much broke + useless + a burden which is just great... Mc also has siblings. Yay! Mc has to spend his own healing talisman to heal his father.

Authors need to get rid of broke parents cliche and random debt cliche. Just makes novels way more poisonous.

MC wastes his point allocations. Spiritual root is better than Turtle method which is better than Lightness skill. But he decides to go turtle method and then lightness skill, and then he lacked the points needed to upgrade turtle method again.

Then he somehow mistakenly wastes points to upgrade a basic sword skill because he decided to spam upgrades and "his thoughts were muddled.". This MC is already set up to be the most careless MC in history.

MC uses his real name! He could have used any other name but he really wants people to expose him.

The novel is imperfect, yet its greatness is unquestionable. The MC is not morally gray—he is irredeemably evil. Cold, patient, and predatory, he treats the world as a hunting ground. Even with a golden finger, he despises reliance on luck. Power and knowledge are not desires but necessities, seized through obsession and sacrifice. Compassion, ethics, and hesitation are weaknesses he has long discarded. His sole pursuit is magic in its purest form—the ultimate truth of the universe and the origin that governs all existence

MC of the novel is Lu Xian

•MC mastered aura concealing method.

Cons :

•Author is adding troubles on MC.Ex.1 When three people tried to harm MC MC kills them but is watched by third party.

•Novel is too slow paced.

•Weak MC.

•The blend of ancient world and modern world and with unnecessary restrictions make it unbearable to read.

•There is a high possibility that MC will join a faction or sect.MC could grow independently but author will use lame excuses to make MC joining a faction or sect.

•I don't like author forcing woman like Luo Xuanmeng into MC and don't like the interaction between Luo Xuanmeng and MC.Ex.1 A woman named Luo Xuanmeng who is a stranger to MC says MC is her dao companion of her and sits with him for no reason and top of that MC accepts her statement instead of strongly refusing her.

Conclusion : Trash novel

The third hokage is so out of character, in the anime he literally forgives Danzo for everything and now for some unknown child with a lot of chakra, he dismisses the root?

I also saw the harem tag and all I see is a cold protagonist with no romance at all.

I love harem, if you hate it then good for you, don't reply to my message seeking verification, I don't care. You harem haters always go poke your noses into novels with harem tag leaving cringe messages stating you hate harem.
