I'm a Boss in a Cthulhu Tabletop Game World

The story follows Jiang Bai, a "good-for-nothing" who accidentally transmigrates into a world based on a Cthulhu-themed tabletop game. He acquires the "Lie Flat" (or "Slack Off") talent, a seemingly useless ability that, instead of helping him, dramatically increases the difficulty of his missions. Despite this, he manages to gradually grow stronger, only to be framed and forced into becoming a non-player character (NPC)—specifically, an "Ambassador of a Heretical Cult."

Now, as a boss-like figure, he is constantly visited by various cultists and eldritch gods seeking to recruit him. Overwhelmed by their deceitful schemes and complex machinations, Jiang Bai maintains his desire to just slack off and avoid trouble. However, unlike a traditional villain, his persona, the "White Light of Purity," is not a force of pure evil. Instead, he becomes a unique existence who seeks to find order within chaos and spread light within the darkness, subverting the rules of the game's dungeons in his own way.
