Chen Lian, unemployed upon graduation, tries to make ends meet by auditioning for a variety show. The interview turns out to be about solving a crime, and Chen Lian can't help but think back to his four years in college, when he'd dreamt every night that he was at a crime scene and had to find the murderer, or else the cycle of murder would repeat itself. For Chen Lian now, such a problem is nothing more than a sideshow. Unexpectedly, participating in a variety show is actually a match made in heaven, and the police even come knocking.
