Cold number

A viscous liquid, faintly sweet and reeking of chemical preservatives, enveloped him. Icy cold, bone-chilling cold, was the first and only sensation it brought. He was suspended within it, his vision blurred, his eyes only a hazy, faint green glow. The metal barrier, reflecting a faint, cold, hard sheen in the light, felt like the entrails of a great beast, gently yet cruelly imprisoning him.

A monotonous, regular ticking sound emanated from an invisible instrument, like some eternal metronome, marking the imaginary time. Occasionally, there was the gentle gurgling of slowly circulating liquid and the distant, muffled, indistinct hum of machinery, muffled by the thick walls.

He couldn't feel the concrete presence of his limbs, only a diffuse, dull numbness. Every time he tried to think, his consciousness felt like it was sinking into a quagmire, heavy and slow. Who am I? Where am I? These questions were like bubbles on the bottom of the water, bursting silently as soon as they surfaced, leaving no trace. There was only a primal, instinctive feeling—existence. And with that existence came a boundless coldness and a suffocating confinement.

一种粘稠的、带着微弱甜腥气和化学防腐剂味道的液体包裹着他。冰冷，刺骨的冰冷，是这种液体带来的最初也是唯一的感觉。他悬浮在其中，视野模糊不清，只能看到眼前一片朦胧的、泛着幽绿的微光。金属的壁障在光线外隐约反射着冷硬的光泽，如同巨兽的内脏，将他温柔而残酷地囚禁。
耳边是单调而规律的滴答声，来自某个看不见的仪器，像某种永恒不变的节拍器，标记着虚无的时间。偶尔夹杂着液体缓慢循环流动的汩汩轻响，以及远处传来的、被厚重墙壁阻隔后显得沉闷模糊的机械运转的低鸣。
他感觉不到四肢的具体存在，只有一种弥漫性的、迟钝的麻木感。每一次试图思考，意识都像陷入泥沼，沉重而缓慢。我是谁？我在哪里？这些问题如同水底的气泡，刚刚浮起便无声地破裂，留不下任何痕迹。只有一种原始的、本能的感知——存在。以及伴随着存在的、无边无际的冰冷和令人窒息的禁锢。
