Han Qing traveled back to the Spring and Autumn Period and became a member of the Han family of the Jin State. By a twist of fate, he became the gatekeeper of Hangu Pass, befriended Yin Xi, and witnessed Laozi leaving Hangu Pass to the west. He then chose to become Laozi's disciple and seek the path to immortality.
