Lin Feng led his troops to defend the border to the death, Moore's twin swords tore through the enemy lines, and Negan offered a psychological warfare strategy. Sabotage behind enemy lines, popular uprisings, technological confrontations—the flames of freedom spread like wildfire. On the night the Federation's high walls collapsed, Mercer's defection and Pamela's suicide heralded the end of tyranny.

The newly formed "Union" rebuilds from the scorched earth: Morgan teaches non-lethal self-defense, Carol plants flowers at the orphanage, and Morse and Negan, arch-enemies, stand guard against the snowstorms of the North.
