You can kinda guess what you are in for just by the title of the story. If you've read any other "Global Descent/Apocalypse/Whatever" type stories, then yeah. You know. If you haven't, these types of stories are pretty much always about some dude getting a Talent/Trait/Ability above and beyond his peers which almost immediately sets him apart from everyone. This particular story should VERY MUCH be marked with a Fanfic tag because it blatantly steals the characters and factions from numerous games with little mention of where they came from. To be frank, as an independent story it does not deserve any more than 2 stars because there is very little that can be considered original in it. But as a Fanfic, and me being a fan who has played many of the games stolen from in this story, I like the ideas the author puts out and I fondly remember many of the characters and how the MCs most trusted allies are all big baddies that I've trounced over the years.
