I love this novel despite its flaws. The ancient world is far better written and developed than the modern world. And the modern world is basically just peaceful utopia of China being disrupted by foreigners. Honestly you could just skip the modern parts and enjoy the ancient world parts.

It has potential and isn't bad but the MC eventually just becomes a plot device instead of a character. Not enough space is given to ever actually exploring much of the changes the MC causes. Chapters tend to jump without warning too so following the plot can be irritating. Overall not bad but could be so much better.
