Not bad. Not great. Neither the HxH world or Monster Hunter world is particularly well developed. Chapters jump between incredibly vague and uselessly detailed. A good attempt but it feels like the author couldn't pull off what they wanted.
Pretty good. Character plays some fun decks though I'd prefer if he didn't make a new deck every couple of duels. His power is broken but in a very Yu-Gi-Oh way.
Finally a Yu-Gi-Oh fic where a character doesn't use meta decks to sweep the world! Instead he uses a deck focusing entirely on fusions. It really leans into the bonds with the deck and I love it.
Three stars is a little generous but it wasn't too bad. It starts off not terrible but in the 300s gets boring. MC is basically just maintaining his harem or finding new members. He barely fights or uses soul skills. And the author adds in a lot of unnecessary things. I did appreciate the info boxes in chapters though, helps me remember stuff I'd otherwise never remember.
Author comes off as pretty self-righteous. MC is apparently a paragon of virtue who stands up for every injustice and is willing to fight nobles at any time. Which by itself isn't bad, except the MC is an idiot. All of the various ways he can handle situations and he always chooses to fight. Every noble that's not directly on the MCs side acts exactly like a young master and not someone who has been trained since childhood to handle diplomacy and politics. Also seriously author? You're really having someone give the MC a sword equal to Dawn just because he's was nice to an old lady and killed some boars? That's really the best you could come up with? Overall an interesting idea but very poor execution.
I like it. MC slowly learns the anime style of card games, bonding with his deck and drawing with destiny. Unfortunately after 460 the chapters jump to 730.
Boring. Not bad, actually kind of cool. But this is more like a wizard novel than cultivation. This has the unfortunate effect of making everything take so long. By the time anything happens I've basically stopped caring about it.
Did the author write this with a gun to his head? Randomly in the novel it pivots between your typical infinite reincarnation novel, and other times it's written as absolutely no fantasy here no sir wink wink. I'm so confused.
