Rating: 4/5 🌟
Chapters 1 to 80 were great — the main character was humble and level-headed. But after gaining Grandmaster-level power, his personality changed drastically. He became arrogant and prideful, which felt out of character.
At the beginning of the story, he used to be cold and decisive — he would kill enemies without talking or reacting to their threats. But after becoming a Grandmaster, he started responding even to unimportant characters. Sometimes he would only fight back after being threatened, which doesn’t match how he acted earlier.
The story is still enjoyable, and the world-building is solid. But the main character's personality shift could have been handled more consistently to keep the development believable and satisfying.
Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
This novel started with a promising premise, but unfortunately, it quickly falls apart due to poor execution. The main character, Ji Xiu, is overly arrogant — a typical overpowered figure found in many novels of this genre. It makes the story feel repetitive and dull.
One of the most frustrating parts is the inconsistency in the plot. At the beginning, the protagonist says he wants to stay low-profile and avoid drawing attention. Yet, just a few chapters later, he's already going around looking for people to defeat just to show off his strength. That completely contradicts what was established earlier and makes the character feel inconsistent.
I understand why many readers gave it low ratings. Personally, I still gave it three stars because there's some potential in the story — but unfortunately, it's overshadowed by inconsistent characters and a rushed storyline.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.5 out of 5 stars)
The story is quite interesting and has a lot of potential. However, there are a few things that didn’t sit well with me personally. The pacing feels slow, and with only a few chapters available so far, the story hasn’t fully come to life yet. Some scenes also tend to exaggerate trivial matters, which makes the progression feel a bit dragged out.
What bothered me the most is the concept behind the main character’s role. It’s not that other characters treat the MC like a subordinate—it’s that the story itself places the MC in that kind of position. From the very beginning, the protagonist is portrayed more like a worker, an errand-runner, or someone constantly carrying out tasks for others, rather than someone who takes charge of their own fate. Personally, I prefer main characters who are independent, assertive, and actively shape the direction of the story.
That said, the world-building and underlying conflict still hold promise. I’m hoping that future chapters will give the MC more agency and allow the story to grow into something stronger and more engaging.
⭐ 4.5/5 – Great Story, But Noticeable Decline in Quality
Around chapter 70, I noticed some racist elements that were quite disturbing. However, I was still able to tolerate it at that point because the plot was engaging and matched my personal taste.
Unfortunately, after chapter 100, the story's quality began to drop. This seems to be a common pattern among many authors—the beginning is promising, but as the story goes on, the direction becomes inconsistent and starts to fall apart.
What bothered me most was how overly loyal the main character became to the Wang family. Just because they kept giving him money, he turned into their personal guardian. Instead of acting rationally or staying neutral, he came across more like a servant or lackey of the Wang family. This really hurt his character development and made him feel less independent and less compelling
Originally 4/5 🌟 because it wasn't for me.1. Comedy novel lovers will definitely like this story, but for me there are still some small plot holes that affect my reading mode. 2. Check out my full profile nickname? One of them -1🌟
⭐ Nilai pribadi: 4/5
