The author is acting as if mortal world is the equivalent of a martial arts world vs xianxia world in this types of novel altough the xianxia world all have higher power peak then the mortal world counterparts in my humble opinion it's just blatant favoritism.

Like the other one said upper realm my ass It's just the same old dogshit it doesn't even do its job properly by portraying the mc background fo fs he almost died at the first 16th chapters and his dao protector did even fucking sense it arriving only by some strok of plot armour at the best time. Also cultivation is the same as all xuanhuan he only separated the the few upper realms and middle one by a new realm its like saying tribulations cultivatirs in xian xia are the upper realm top strength and nothing is after it and something like soul transformation is the peak of the lower realm. Simply its dogshit.

Boring and his cheat is useless if the author replaced it with plot armour you wouldn't notice the difference also i don't to read this shit for 1000 chapters only for him to be still under other people's shoes. Also i can geuss that the story will focus more and his children and we will see les and less from him or just see slice of life part of his life and honesty that's quite boring and the bane of family novels.
