I think its a decent novel pretty nice world building imo, slow paced but its okay, mc is fine. The problem comes in later chapters, first mc power is so skewed, he only in 2nd stage and yet able to kill 5th stage monsters easily, sure it requires many factors but its not one time coincidence, he killed several much stornger monsters without sweat. However i think mc skills is pretty interesting.
Second, the moment a girl showed up in chapter 170, i lost my mood to continue. First, this adventure arc is already a bit too long for my taste, now a woman suddenly appeared out of nowhere, i think its simply absurd and out of nowhere, her character is so freaking annoying too, she's impulsive, violent, talk too much. I think author write her with intention to add some comedy but her character is simply too unbearable for a side character with little to no development time, so instead of become funny, it only makes me want to strangle her everytime she talks. Mc also willingly share his secret abilities immediately even though it took him 3 years to share it to other people, even then theres only few who knows his true abilities. Honestly what a shame,
Edit: ive read up to 167 chapters. A decent novel
The first 70 chapter is rough to read, not to mention author is trying too hard at attempt to make jokes sometimes and it only makes readers frustrated or make mc look like a retarded. The world building is a bit bland, its standard chinese interstellar with mech, F-SSS letter rating, mental power, beast and so on, author also made people a bit retarded to make mc shines which is a bit cheap, there are some things that aren't explained well, like how the hell mc and her "friends" gathering some intelligence during a field test.
Its best to disregard these stuff and if you do it actually entertaining to read.
The pace is pretty slow and be cautioned, pretty frustrating to follow because there are few things happening at once to mc, so when mc focused on one thing, other is basically abandoned for a while.
Fight scenes is terrible, its vague and lazy. Mc also started a bit too weak making everything far from realistic, even her arrogance feels a bit too much sometimes. Also, almost everyone is chinese lmao.
I personally think this is a type of novel where you have to turn your brain off, not exactly amazing novel, even calling it good is a bit of stretch, but it sure is entertaining. The problem is, like i said before, author kinda get carried away sometimes with her comedy. I dont hate comedy, but it kinda makes everything less serious and feel padded, like i said sometimes it even fell flat. Id prefer if author reduced it frequency and more focused into the plot.
If i had to sum it up, its an inferior version of Smash all Pot and go to school, slower paced, worse fight scenes, similar comedy style and world building. All the stuff i wrote might sounds harsh and doesn't fit 4 stars but i think it deserved it simply because its kinda entertaining and funny, it would be much better if it took the story much more serious and less lousy mc tbh.
Last thing is, yeah the blurb is suck and misleading, idk why chinese author love to do this, its so cringe to read.
The low stars rate is a bit too much lol, actually it's explained why people want to help MC along the way, some people comes from certain background that inherently good, some just simply charmed by mc due to his face and inherent bloodline which later explained.
Honestly mc isn't exactly blessed with luck, in fact he's pretty miserable if you keep reading it, even if he's okay, a problem still managed to tangled him for no reason, at least so far, the only lucky thing that happened to him is when he was adopted in the beginning by some random poor family which helped him a lot, the are coincidences after that but mostly didn't give benefits to mc or straight up bad luck. Spoiler, 2nd luck is him have special power, not a cheat, theres no cheat at least for now, at least for now. But i know there might some "cheat" because you can read in the beginning how mc came to this alien world.
Anyway its a slow paced novel with relatively peaceful intro, no annoying scoundrel in sight and actually many light jokes inserted in the novel which is actually pretty funny for me, its just it being MTL kinda hurt the quality a little bit, so far i enjoyed it, the writing style though is so watered. Its a slow paced novel so i cant say much for the first 50 chapters.
Edit: after 100 chapters i couldnt figure out what is this novel about, it suddenly turns into politics, and the way author wrote it is pretty hard to follow, sure the plot is unpredictable as hell, literally things took turns in unexpected way at every turn, but like i said they way author wrote it is kinda terrible
Anyway, there are quite many coincidence in this novel but not all of them make mc suddenly became stronger, most of the time it only brought troubles and mc had to turn it into profit, i think its pretty clever, but i the frequency need to be lessened.
Lastly, it being MTL really hurt the experience, i read a lot of MTL and this is terrible at least in this site because if you visit its raw, you can see different translation with google translate.
What to expect:
-theres no goblin dependencies, idk why author title it like that, no cool goblins with jacket or plot revolves around killing goblin like goblin slayee either.
-annoying amount of mc luck and coincidences
-use said coincidences to tease readers like indian soap opera like your missing amnesia brother right in front of the street but a truck suddenly arrives and blocks your vision.
-these lucks and coincidence also feels like everything was orchestrated by some superior beings, I don't mind this but its too damn obvious.
-good paced story for us readers
-its dnd based world and god exist, thankfully theres nothing insane going on for now so yeah
-nonexistent plot, so far its just mc getting stronger
-good sense of progression and build up,
-occasionally pov changes that want to show the story didnt revolves around mc only to fail pretty horribly because it led back to mc anyway with string of coincidences.
-not bad fighting scenes but thats it.
-mc is generic cold cautious protagonist, diligent and a bit of warm, I personally like it, at least its not some righteous idiot.
Overall even though its a nice novel to read, i don't think i will continue reading this novel unless i absolutely don't have anything left to read. My main grip is actually the amount of luck and coincidences, it feels terrible, this is actually the 2nd time ive read such a stupid way of writing and i hated it both of them, still this novel is still better than most.
I've read up to chapter 117 in other site.
Honestly, pretty decent slow paced novel with unique world building, slice of life element and ofc the straight A student genre. Its just the chinese culture bleed too much in this supposed to be western fantasy setting, i get the mc was chinese, author is chinese, audience is chinese, but mc supposed to inherit the whole planet memory, yet she only mentioned chinese culture so far, she didn't even to explore other nations culture or system. I just think its a bit of a waste. Especially when she always insisted it was to spread planet Earth civilization when in reality, it basically just Chinese civilization. I think the whole idea of inheriting the planet memory should be scrapped altogether and just give her amazing memory, so it shouldn't be really weird if all she know was chinese culture.
In other novel such as Martial Union, MC actually integrated and referenced many martial arts around the world to make the ultimate technique to adapt all kind of martial arts in early stage, sadly in this novel, she didn't even try.
But outside this the novel is pretty great.
Ive read up to chapter 810 in other site
Definitely one of the better novel with OP abilities, ofc its not flawless.
Mc is pretty much flawless, which is okay for me, no romance, great sense of progression, decent fights but most importantly, great build up making every arc feels so peak, also no idiot characters, even the villain is reasonable.
There are also many new ideas here which i found pretty novel and not bad, the mystery is pretty mess tho.
Also it has the good ol company is bad, central government is good, the branch government is somewhat corrupted. If you sensitive to this then you probably don't like this novel because, well the central government is clearly ccp, the antagonist are pretty much the the usual suspects which is Japan and Westerner, but there's isnt any sharp or racist remarks or anything, more like conflict of interest.
Ive seen a 2 stars review from Tima and yes it happens lmao, i also quite baffled by how ridiculous it is but later author had to explained it because apparently many chinese readers complained about it too, this is what actually happened, a bit of minor spoiler, and stupid one at that.
Mc registered to a martial art school and received by a polite girl, she's not even important character, then a guy suddenly want to give a lesson to mc just because he saw her polite to mc, even tho its perfectly normal being polite when you work as a staff to received a new student. Ofc it sounds dumb af, way later author add a disclaimer that he wrote that because he actually seen it in real life, and he said the villain is just want to beat someone because he's bored and makes a reason even if its a stupid one, just to beat up mc, he doesn't like the girl or anything. He should ve just wrote it better tbh,
Ive read up to chapter 155 in other site.
Definitely not bad a monster focused story, solid world building and okay writing, just a tad boring? Mc is powerful but not exactly op because there are many godly beings in this universe, the concept of power of time is also okay but honestly im not interested because there basically 0 stakes in the story, okay even with 0 stakes, story can be interesting obviously, but since the mc is non human and he dont like to meddle with human affairs anyway, there aren't any interesting happening, especially when most other dragons are simple beings as in, good, bad and neutral, no more or less.
This novel is okay and mc act more like a dragon than human, unlike most novel with non humanoid mc, ahem unlike a particular slime. However this novel lack of interesting conflicts due to its inherent simplistic characters (duh, they're monsters, even if they're intelligent creatures). There are humans ofc but once again they're not the main focus of the story, mc regards himself as a dragon and actually have taste of a dragon, because of unique circumstances, he only became neutral at best, just like Ainz in Overlord.
If you like monsters, it might interest you, but personally, this novel not only a bit boring, since it also far from human affairs, i feel disconnected as well, so yeah me personally would score it around 3 stars, but honestly it deserved at least 4 stars if you like this type of novel.
Oh lastly, the fight might be cool but it became wild too fast, since there are many godly beings, its kinda inevitable the power scaling might be a bit ridiculous, after only 150 chapters, some serious shit already appears, i personally dont like this kinda huge fight, its outside my comprehension, it might interesting at the end of a novel, but not as early as this, it must became crazier in future fights and honestly i don't even like to think about it.
Mc is spoonfed to death by author, i think the first few tens of chapters are fine because some luck is inevitable in these type of stories, however it really become annoying real quick.
First his power is kinda random gacha, so author abused it and give convenient abilities in the right time.
Second, he always met the right people to smoothens his journey very quickly
Third, later i found the most retarded shit I've ever read and author isn't even being subtle about it. Mc wanted to build a foundation during his advancement but he found most foundation technique isnt good, except one but its harsh requirements makes it basically impossible to learn, the next chapter he got a new ability that helped him to learn this foundation technique, see? This refers to the first problem and the second problem simultaneously. This ability is conveniently appears when mc is troubled (first problem), this ability let mc summon a pet, and this pet happened to be something he need to learn the most powerful foundation technique (2nd problem).
At this point why bother makes stories, just let him became powerful from the start.
Lastly, i get this is chinese story with chinese author for chinese audience, but its too chinese for a supposedly western fantasy themed settings, the worst part when it introduced some eastern cultivator immortal bs into this story, man just stick at writing eastern story with immortal cultivator evil sorcery or something than trying to mix the two.
I've read it up you chapter 711 in other sites.
Tldr Amazing world building, slow paced, slow burn novel, meh action, great characters, confusing romance.
Mc is a half-elf, took place in elven continent and is a priest, its a rare setting.
The world building is pretty amazing, its detailed, vivid, huge.
The plot is... Eh since its slow burn novel its pretty much nonexistent in the beginning only later you can see progression, it took a very long time for mc to be not useless, even then he's not powerful, his power accumulates very very slow. It also has adventure and kingdom army building mixed in later but its not like mc has his own kingdom or fief or anything and its not focused on that, not to mention it heavily hinted mc will embarks his own adventure later in the story. I think the plot can be relaxing and frustrating at the same time due to its pace, and worst them all, the antagonist in first arc seems like some sort of plot armor, but all of them aren't filler or anything but it was annoying regardless.
Confusing romance, yeah because author seems cant to determine which girl is gonna be the FL, not many girls actually interested at mc at least romantically, i hope its not ended up as harem.
Edit: harem lol, ever since novel said that elf didn't get married and usually have one or more partner in their lifetime due to their long life span and they also love to pursue love and freedom, I've always had this feeling, now i know lmao.
Meh action, this novel is pretty weak when it comes to action whether when it comes to individual battles or war battles but its not too long and not nad to read.
Its a mixed bag really, if you like slowburn it might be for you, but if you dont like it yeah you gonna hate it.
The only bad thing about this novel is the romance and plot armored antagonist in first arc, i wouldn't call it 5 stars but it deserves 4.5.
Edit: Reduced a star because of harem.
Ive read this up to 300 chapters in other sites. Its just standard op protag with system, its should at least deserved 3 stars, but later on it derailed really fast.
First its hella annoying how villains after villains keep chasing mc, its like those when you kill a young master, their nephew came, thennthey father, their uncle, their grandfather and so on.
Later its clear how chaotic the world is and how cruel these people in post apocalyptic world, robbing killing others, deceiving shamelessly, yet when a foreigner shows up they all pointing out how cruel the foreigner is. Well this isn't exactly non sense but it looks out of place, first their world is chaotic with intelligence aliens and monsters and stuff but there are no sense of unity in humanity, the author emphasize foreigner bad even tho their own people commit the same shit after hundreds of chapters is quite baffling and honestly pretty shameless, not to mention mc became emotionless and boring really fast with no clear plot.
I would rate it 3 stars if not because of the blatant shameless nationalism tbh.
