MC would get MULTIPLE Darwin awards. So many times. It is against the law of evolution to let such a dumb moron propagate his genetics. But he still lives. Author seems to confuse 'being nice' with 'being too dumb to be possibly alive'; and 'being loyal' with 'having no situational awareness'. In an effort to make MC 'have no mental abnormalities ( like bloodthirstiness, no quams about killing people etc) ', author has made a completely irrational MC. No rational and sane person would make the same decisions as MC in similar circumstances, even if that person isn't particularly bright. Other than that, author doesn't understand how to tell a story in early chapters, but after a few chapters, author is decent enough. Story doesn't really improve though. To the author's credit, author is consistent with trying to make a logical story with smart and kind MC. Author just doesn't have an ability to actually make such a story. MC doesn't come out as smart, MC's 'kindness' is just one dimensional.
