Read 29Ch. #393
- A good historical novel. - I even like that the author placed the hero closer to European countries than in Australasia. But since I have already read Australasia by this author, this novel seemed boring to me. - For people who condemn the protagonist's racism - the reason he expels the indigenous population is so that at the end of the 20th century these lands would be truly considered Spanish. Since there was no indigenous population or they were a minority. - The actions again take place on the eve of the First World War, the same characters, the same plans, the same ideas. Of course, this novel is more thought out than the previous one, the author tried. But again, why write a copy of the previous story, he could have chosen a different historical period so as not to write about the same thing. - For example, the well-known prince of France, where industry is just beginning, or Byzantium 1444, where the hero takes on the salvation of Constantinople and the exploration of America (it's a pity that the novel was abandoned). - There were many interesting historical periods in history, but why does the author only write about the first and second world wars, about the beginning of the second industrial revolution. - And what also pisses me off is that the hero does not influence or does not try to change the course of history, since this is the author's second novel, something tells me that in this novel the First World War will begin in 1914, just like in history. - Spoiler! I expected something from the author that would change the course, for example, that he would join the Germans in the First World War, but again he seems to choose to join the winning team, just like in the first novel.

Boring. I haven't seen anything new yet compared to other beast taming novels. Maybe later I'll change my mind and change my rating. I'm shocked by so many 4 and 5 star ratings to be honest. - I've given up reading for now. I don't understand why he wrote a boring arc with a tournament. And such a long one, consisting of fights between children and crazy fans who like to watch them fight. The story could have been saved by funny side stories, but for me the author didn't manage to do that. I still haven't found a reason to read this. I'm really shocked by so many 4 and 5 star ratings.

As a Russian, I approve of the novel. Of course, there were some historical inconsistencies, but it's not scary. Interesting descriptions of battles and characters. Most of the characters have their own personalities, goals, and dreams. And their desires are not static, they can change under certain conditions! I'll say a few words about the hero. The main character is certainly a brave character who achieves everything himself. And for this he deserves respect. But he also makes mistakes that can lead to serious consequences. Which is unusual! Usually in such novels, everything goes as planned for the main character, but not here. It's upsetting, though, that he brings little from the future to the past. Very little! As if this is a parallel universe where the hero simply manages well without knowing the future. And even his !SMALL SPOILER! sponsoring the discovery of America brings nothing (only a map, but I doubt that Russians will sail across the ocean and set off to discover America before the 15th century), I thought he would at least get plant seeds or new breeds of animals, I didn't count on gold) The most important thing is that this novel is more about politics and the history of Rus' with interesting characters and battles.

A great detective novel. I especially like the main character's character and his methods of solving cases. I have not seen so much information on psychoanalysis in any series or novel. Reading the book gives me goosebumps not from fear or excitement, but rather chills from disgusting human nature and rejection. The only problem is that the main character has no specific goal and ambitions. Of course, there is a goal, but it is not big, I will not spoil it.

Most of the characters (enemies) are stupid. For example, there was an enemy who, when capturing a city, burned down a warehouse with supplies, and then died partly from hunger. All of the main character's subordinates are insanely fanatical and devoted to him, I would like to see a couple of ambitious or greedy characters. In other words, there is not enough depth. People who complain about the harem generally make me laugh. Imagine that this is the Middle Ages, it is normal for the nobility to have one wife and several concubines. So far, the presence of several women has not negatively affected the novel. 3.8/5

It's very good for a fanfic, so I'll give it 5/5.
