Batman desperately fought off an alien, soul-torturing him, "Do you bleed? Oh, acid."

Green Lantern, hunted across dozens of galaxies by aliens wearing various lantern rings, was filled with frustration, "How could these bastards become Lanterns?"

As Duval led his alien army into various multiverses, capturing gods for incubation, he looked around.

"Something terrible seems to have happened."
