There is a Taoist temple in the deep mountains, but the incense has long faded.

I am a humble man, only nineteen years old, and have been a Taoist priest since childhood. I have more than a dozen senior brothers above me, and I am the youngest, commonly known as the closed disciple. The sect is very poor, and the senior brothers cannot bear the hardship. Fortunately, the head master is open-minded and allowed the senior brothers to disband.

Later, three senior brothers came to their senses and returned to the right path. They were quite old, around forty or fifty years old.

I was favored by my master and was given the position of the head of the sect before his death. However, I was not able to win the support of the others in terms of age and qualifications, and my three brothers were dissatisfied. The sect was in misfortune, but I was not a pushover and would never give in, so I started an internal conflict with them.

In the village below the mountain, there's a new candidate, a childhood friend of mine. Before his death, our master instructed us to escort him to the capital to take the imperial examination. I feel obliged to do so. Please allow me to travel through the human world for a while, and then return to battle my fellow brothers!
