Hayata Susumu, transported to the aftermath of the original Ultraman series, initially thought he was on the path to Ultraman, but a group of scientists suddenly appeared and captured him for experiments, claiming he was Ultraman's human host. Just when he thought he was on the path to Ultraman F, the scientists found nothing on him and had no choice but to let him go. As he decided to live as an ordinary person, a new crisis confronted him. Seeing the mechanical Ultraman created using human science, and King Joe closing in, Hayata Susumu realized: he was on the path to Gundam! This is a story about humanity protecting the Earth through its own efforts after Ultraman's protection is gone.

穿越为《初代奥特曼》大结局之后的早田进，正当他以为接下来是《机动奥特曼》的剧本时，一群科学家忽然出现，以他是奥特曼人间体的理由把他抓去做实验；就在他以为接下来是《奥特曼F》的剧本时，科学家们却在他身上什么都没有找到，无奈让其离去；当他决定以普通人的身份生活下去的时候，新的危机却是来到他的面前；看见那用人类科学制造出来的机械初代奥特曼，以及向着这里步步紧逼的金古桥，早田进方才明白：原来他拿的是高达的剧本啊！这个是没有奥特曼的保护之后，人类靠着自己的力量去保护地球的故事。
