It has good arcs and bad arcs. Great start, first arc is really well written and the MC's Nen makes sense and not just a wish fulfillment like any fanfics I've read before. My main problem with the story is that the MC went to Dark continent before the Chimera arc, and it kinda killed my interest after the Dark Continent arc. It's also watered down by a huge margin so I didn't enjoy the Dark continent arc as well. 1-100 5 stars for me, 100-200 is pretty boring 3 stars, 200-300 4 stars I really enjoy those chapters. MC takes it easy with Menchi, practice with his sword, take the hunter exam. 300-350 is his Blacklist Hunter arc, that was great as well. I'm just winging the chapters. Ch 400+, I mostly skimmed them. The Chimera Ant arc was a bit farfetched imo. I know the author really studied the source material, but the timeline is a huge factor he didn't consider.

MC was immature at first, which could be annoying once you get used to all the omniscient MCs from the same Hollywood novels. What set this apart from other HW novels is the story and accurate details. This isn't just about Box Office and numbers, the MC has real relationships and connections. It's more researched and doesn't revolve around rumors and such. The MC have no clear memories of his past, he just get hints.
