This might be the only Lord of the people novel that hasn't let me down. I've always found the theme of lord of the people interesting but authors always find a way to fuck it up. It's either nationalism/racism, losing one's self to harems and female characters who add nothing to story as well as forgetting the golden finger that got them started and still had some untapped potential. Heck I've dropped a novel where the theme of novel is Godhood,Faith and Divine Power and main goes on to discard his followers and power/Divine Authority to start cultivation from Qi Refinement.
