The summary is a bit vague so more specifically, MC was framed for attempted rape and murder, and for a chance to a reduced sentence/retrial/reinvestigation, she signs up for a variety show that basically lets the livestream audience vote whether or not the criminal being "judged" can get a second chance. The variety show really puts the criminal at a huge disadvantage though - the criminal is dropped in a virtual world as a child with all their real world memories suppressed, and then they get every bad thing under the sun thrown at them to see what kind of choices they make. Stuff like shitty childhood, abduction, bullying, rape, etc, etc, anything the program team can think of can be designed into the world to "test" the criminal's character, and because most would make "ugly" decisions in response, the audience would hate them and wouldn't vote for them. MC was repeatedly tortured in these "episodes" until she died after the fourth episode from too much psychological trauma (yeah actually this show is super inhumane lmao). Fortunately she was reborn to the beginning of the show with all her memories intact even when thrown into the virtual worlds, so she can do much better this time.
I love the worlds in each episode arc, they're very different so it's interesting to follow and see how MC overcomes the obstacles, drives the program team up the wall, and wins over the audience. She's very smart and very charismatic and a very good actress. She's firm in her beliefs and doesn't compromise on her values.
There is a romance line in the overarching plot. There's a whole soulmates thing going on that actually has a bit of a twist and doesn't go the way this trope usually goes. But the dynamic between MC and ML is pretty fun, she really likes teasing him lol, and ML's really easy for her.
Ending was pretty good. Kind of wish we had a further look into more of the "NPCs" MC befriended in the virtual worlds too. But overall everything was wrapped up neatly and wasn’t too abrupt, with a happy ending for MC and ML.
