Likable MC, not arrogant or rage inducing

I don't hate it when the MC isn't the center of the story, as long as the other characters, in this case the disciples, are entertaining. They aren't, shamelessness can be extremely funny or annoying as fuck to look at, in this case I found both the first and second disciple to be annoying, not worth cheering for at all, at first I liked teh second disciple for the smart idea of killing his family by attempt assassination against the emperor, so outside the box that I found hilarious, then he got real stale and boring and annoying to read about, the first never really had any likable traits, he's an idiot through and through. Was trying to hold on for the scenes of MC one shotting the enemies the disciples couldn't kill but I couldn't get past the disciples
