After chapter 200, it became boring and system basically stopped existing, no more missions, no more power, Will see how rarely author lets MC have a system mission but it seems not much, here author was definitely trying to nerf MC and the consequence was from getting things done in one punch in chapter 1, MC became barely resisting sentinel in chapter 200-ish, this is not really bad, but fuks up the immersion and good will when you can feel author forcibly trying to nerf or stop the MCs power ups...
Honestly for me this novel had 3 good things-
* MC completing mission and getting a random ability from random mission targets
* Some humor in the novel and
* The way the various movies and novels were mixed together
Now 1st point is almost non existing, 2nd one has become old and boring and 3rd point is barely holding up...
But sole reason for 3 stars is completely because of author trying to bury the system, the one and only thing that makes this novel interesting
Edit :- Personal opinion aside, In case if you are searching marvel or dc or both mixed fanfic, thisone is one of the best out there
Read a same kind of novel in this site only named - "Global Cataclysm: Get Level 3 Civilization at the Start!",
That one was much better compared to this one, although it went a bit downhill after chapter 200, but this novel is already getting on my nerves from the get go...
----Spoilers until Chapter 15 ahead----
PROS:
Comprehensive detailing and strategies used in shelter building.
Somewhat OP system newbie gifts.
CONS:
Heavy Nationalism, Chapter 15 alone gives you the mindmap of MC, and I didnt like what I read.
And MC also specifically let his AI 'Adam' to provide zombie virus warning to people of Kyushu (In Chinese, meaning Nine Provinces, basically meaning China), That was good and kind but hold up! are the people of other countries not people worth saving? All it would have taken his AI to send this warning to the world was 1 second.
It also irked me when, again in chapter 15, one of the survivors asked MC to save "compatriots" who were facing the zombies, so?! wouldnt you save them if they were not your countries' people? (MC didnt save them anyway)
Anyway, from these, I got a glimpse of Author's mindset, so wasnt that enthuasiastic on reading the rest of it that came from the same.
I know I am being over conscious about this nationalism issue, but the way dialogues are written seriously gets on my nerves, maybe a personal issue, but anyway for me this novel is unreadable.
There is a "The Wandering Earth" movie, and then there is this...
It was 4.5 stars at first but then all of a sudden from about chapter 200-ish, it went downhill very quickly, the so called level 3 civilizations AI intelligence acted like crap, it has security and surveillance control over the entire shelter but somehow it couldnt see that one shelter dweller was threatened by a spy, so much for being from advanced civilization...
MC who practically acted like he had everything in his control before the start of this messed up chapters, somehow started to fall into enemies' traps one after another, its like the entire genre of the novel changed after chapter 200
MC started losing troops left and right, started falling into traps, let a spy inside his safe zone, gave her a high position....
Basically one dumb mistake after the another, this is impossible for the character of the MC showcased in the earlier chapters...
Anyway atleast until chapter 200, its an awesome read but after that, as I said in my POV, it felt like the entire genre of novel changed from "OP MC" to "Weak to Strong MC"
The entire novel gives off severe chunni vibe, its cringey as fuk.
MC is nothing special, the kind that would 9.9 times out of 10 would probably die in an apocalypse, so the novel is heavily dependent on system and plot armors, former is okay, later one, not so much.
Bottom line... Boring, cringey and this novel or authors way of writing and plot execution doesnt pick even a tiny part of interest in me to find out 'what will happen next in this novel?' and this is also the reason why I am not able to continue reading this novel.
Good read
I skipped over 200 chapters, just glossed over the titles, its that boring.
I wont say much but...
I never understood the concept of writing a system novel with attribute panel and all yet the MC being only relatively powerful and he barely keeps up with strong individual/peers without system, even after giving his all...
You dont want MC to be OP, thats fine, atleast filter your novel where MC can protect his base and loved ones properly, Here MCs base gets raided multiple times over, His shelter/base is still active only because of plot armor like sudden strengthening out of the blue bullshit...
Nevermind, I wont rant, novel had a good evolution concept, but the novel still came out as boring...
Good Novel but poor execution, MC is a slave to the system, and He doesnt commit to his own words sometimes, combat is written very badly at some places as it involves crap load of dialogues and monologues to the point that even an assassin's identity is exposed because he talked a lot
Good read, but contains nationalism and obviously has high prejudice against eagle country and sakura country lol, quite obvious CN author strategy for cliche plots.
Moreover the plot is good enough to keep you hooked but I got one issue with this novel and that is to change the novels name from "Weapon System" to "Chinese Weapon System", while I dont doubt that chinese weapons are good, but its unquestionable that other countries weapons have far better specifications and same goes for armored and aerial units... But this novel is more like chinese arms advertisement.
Well this is off-putting for me, so 3-stars
systems name is breaking defense system, as long as you break someones emotional defense and in MCs case making them annoyed, angry or raged at him, he gets point...
I wont even start with such a trash grade system, but as soon as MC got the system, disregarding his previous behaviour set, he started annoying his teacher from the get go... Thats fucking unrealistic even for a novel...
While going through life threatening assessment, disregarding other's safety, MC started pranking and annoying them, again, does this makes sense to be so irresponsible?
P.S. - If you have seen toxic and annoying kids in rust, congratulations, now you have an example of what this MC is like
Finally Author made the mob characters deliberatelly annoying so that he can validate the MC face slapping them and making it easier for him to get system points, this point was fine but come on! did you need to make majority of the characters so unrealistically(fantasy level) arrogant?
Overall wont recommend reading unless you want to lose brain cells, face slapping novels are fine but its not fine when MC acts with the mindset of "slap every living organism on sight"
Good Read but most of the content is about secondary individuals and there adventure, the adventure being a slight modification of real life games and writing that in a way like weaving a story, but the thing is I dont give a crap about reading sekiros history again, I already know about it... This novel ought to give priority to the story about MC and not to some random mobs playing around, I dont like how the writing priorities here are set...
80% on random named mob adventuring and game stories
20% is actual interesting plot related to MC and his special ability of commanding troops or managing the territory
Again this is my personal opinion and POV, if people like this kind of writing style, then this might be a 5-star read for you
