Read 485Ch. #528
Mediocre at best. Starts of decent enough, but just devolves into a gotta catch them all simulation of the MC adding any woman who’s above a certain standard to his harem. At the point in which I’ve reached, pretty sure he has accumulated at least 20-30 women, but I’ve lost count having long since started skimming chapters to be done with this novel. Too many situations are dragged out despite the MC’s overwhelming strength where in fact because he’s so strong he often takes things too easy. Wanting to play around with his enemies because he’s bored and letting issues fester until they come to his door or involve his women directly when he can directly be rid of all troubles be they minor or not. Major waste of time reading this, only recommend for those who’re extremely bored.

An okay read. Neither bad or good. Just about what you’d expect from a sign in novel, pure wish fulfillment. Not to mention that the rewards to start off with are too ridiculously good. Where other sign in novels would usually start with a couple million or shares of a company of not too high a standing, this MC directly acquires a district ranked 4th in the world with revenue upwards towards tens if not hundreds of billions. Things get ridiculous once we reach the event depicted in the synopsis though with him being gifted an engagement, and later on with a family background of ridiculous standing that his father just all of a sudden happened to have come from but left many years ago for whatever reason. The physical assets as rewards were fine, but personal relationships is a bit too much. As for the romance, it’s actually not that bad despite the weird start. While not overly in depth, the two fit each other nicely. A complaint though is the author’s change in the story when he started introducing other women. He had two women essentially throw themselves at the MC, one being the second richest behind the FML’s family and actually comparable to her in looks/temperament. The latter of which the MC was actually tempted to pounce on, and I actually thought she was a good character despite not really advocating for harem here as I expected a single female lead. The change the author introduced practically eliminated any interaction between the two and she’s not even mentioned anymore. It’s one thing to put a stop to any romantic relationship between the two, but he essentially killed off her character. In all, read if bored, but not really missing out on anything.

Novel is a lot better than initially thought. Although the premise is quite cliche, not to mention its execution, its the characters that make this novel what it is. While the majority are somewhat one-dimensional, those that surround the MC each have their own defining features that make them stand out even if only slightly. Now onto the most important aspect, at least to me, the romance. Developed nicely, even though at times I did feel that it was a bit slow, can't really downplay the seriousness of trauma. The relationship between the ML and FL is one of respect and understanding, both parties willing to do their best for one another and of course their child. Do feel that the rate at which the author had the child progress was a bit too fast. A bit unrealistic to have a 3 year old child doing university level mathematics, have nation recognized art talent, etc. no matter how much their talent increases due to the MC's own progress. Overall, I'd definitely recommend reading this novel as its pretty enjoyable all-around aside from the hard to escape "China number 1" propaganda that the majority of these sort of novels can't seem to do without.

Novel is okay, but a bit too childish in the relationship’s execution between the ML and FL. Don’t know why it is that authors like to have adults behave as teens when encountering their first “crush”. Their feelings are already quite apparent, but they keep skirting around the issue and continuously get shy about the littlest things. Just frustrating to read in general and honestly quite a chore given how slowly things are moving.

Boring. Plot is unoriginal and nonsensical. Even the manner in which the story begins hardly makes any sense and is backwards. We aren’t introduced into the MC’s life until after his rebirth so it’s a bit abrupt. He retains memories from his previous life and as seen before in other novels, he manages to remember every single detail to build himself up and get rich, or at least is on the way to do so. In regard to the romance, while I haven’t gotten far, it isn’t really all that appealing. We’ve already met the FL, and apparently what attracted him to her initially were her hands and nails… After introducing that weird piece of information, only chapters later is it told that they were a couple in his previous life and he’s going to pursue her as he made a promise to do so in their next life as he was passive in how they got together. Overall, quite poorly written and wouldn’t recommend reading at all.

Quite boring in all honestly. Reminds of that novel “Rebirth of the Thief Who Roamed the World”, albeit with obvious minor differences. Firstly, not a fan of the Assassin class, not to mention the way in which it was chosen for him which seemed forced for plot convenience. Then there’s the FL who he doesn’t even really start interacting with until some 50 chapters after their initial mishap. Following that, their interactions are unnatural in the sense in how quick their feelings grow for one another in that they’re already acting like a couple. Now back to his class. Him being an Assassin is in annoyance simply for the fact that it gives others a preconceived notion about him and he has enemies everywhere to an exaggerated extent. Outside of his very few friends and the FL, a vast majority have an unfavorable impression of him. Not to mention him having a “love rival” who’s after him at every chance he gets, though he’s unaware of the relationship the MC has with the FL, and I’m sure things would be worse if he were. In all, wouldn’t really recommend if you’ve read things similar. You aren’t missing out on anything.

Overall pretty mediocre. Started off decent enough, but once court politics came into play, kind of put a damper on things. They weren’t particularly bad, just the way the author went about handling things and allowing problems to fester without resolving them for the longest time despite the MC being aware of who’s causing trouble. This not even limited to court issues, but just enemies in general. MC being unable to or simply letting them be, only for them to come around and make further trouble, but he supposedly doesn’t have evidence to target them despite being a well-reputed divination master. Not to mention as the MC’s status increases, it’s irksome in how his every sentence he has to address himself as “This Official/Celestial Master/King”. Like okay, we get it. Somehow the author even managed to fit in “China #1” propaganda into a novel that’s based on cultivation as well by having the MC return to Earth and reuniting with his family. Albeit being a small portion of the story, it was entirely unnecessary. Lastly, the ending was terrible. Not that I expected much in that regard because these sort of novels never seem to be able to nail that aspect. Overall, wouldn’t recommend reading unless you’re bored out of your mind which is how I managed to somehow finish this, though I did skim the majority of the last few dozen chapters just to get it over with.

In agreement with Lala. This plot truly is idiotic. Novel starts off well enough, preceded by the breakup I was a fan of the MC’s attitude in not forgiving his ex-girlfriend(s). Only to have that all turn into disappointment in how quickly he compromises with and forgives them. Them being the FLs as they’re twins, with the MC being entirely unaware. This being a primary frustration as it just feels like the MC is being led around by the nose and being deceived constantly and being happy about it. Not to mention that he has almost no control over his life due to his parents, the FLs having this same commonality. Up to where I’ve read(c60), the MC continues to be oblivious while the one sister who’s actively dating him refuses to be honest and is hiding their relationship from the other. The fact that the MC hasn’t picked up on anything is beyond belief. Don’t recommend reading at all.
