this is a very standard power fantasy novel. nothing can threaten or phase the protagonist. he has infinite money, infinite resources, infinite 100% loyal subordinates... he even fished out a super luxury villa. the apocalypse has no meaning for him. as of chapter 70, he hasn't met any person he's willing to talk to or interact with. all women are either brainless or horny for the MC, sometimes both. it has the standard worldwide apocalypse nationalism and racism in it. I wouldn't say it's shit deserving a 1 star review but it's certainly not a masterpiece. if you're bored and have literally nothing else to read you can read this.
pure female protagonist wish fulfillment story. the plot makes sense, characters aren't annoying, the harem is cute. the author is also very cute, openly scolding everyone who's annoying them in the comments. I support the author unconditionally.
I really liked this one! the protagonist is pragmatic and willful, the side characters are lively and fun to witness, the plot was interesting and I loved every second of the shenanigans that happened. I genuinely don't have anything bad to say about this one. being only 95 chapters looks like it's short, but it's well thought out and well written. nothing is missing and I never felt like the author was padding the work to fill space.
I think it's fine. the cheat isn't overly op. he just has a head start over others, it's not like he's speed running things. the system isn't a personal system; it's a world crossing genre with everyone having the same system. I don't think it's a problem for everyone on the world channel to be Chinese. would you prefer the usual nationalism and racism in these stories? the hamfisted attempts to showcase that even in a place where country pride makes NO sense, Chinese people will band together at all costs? personally I think it's great. don't worry about where the rest of the earthlings went. enjoy the peace. no "government" nonsense either.
don't read this while eating. I think it's fine. the MC is indeed a little... idk, maybe constant sanity loss and rebounding breaks a person in a way we can't see. most characters are a little nuts in this. but this is supposed to be lovecraftian, so sanity is a luxury even for readers.
the story starts with a pretty big brain hole imo. the OG soul died bc the Lin Family starved him to death. there's no ifs about this. the family isn't empty; later on we see that it's not like it was just the OG soul and his sister living alone together. it is literally several elders and collateral descendants all together in the same place. the fact that the OG soul died of starvation and not something like poison is a fact. yes he was sick, but he was literally laying in bed by himself and starved to death. no one checked up on him at all. a servant busts into the room in a panic to inform the MC that his sister's cold poison was acting up, but the MC had been alone for a couple of days at this point. no one noticed or cared about the MC's presence enough to check if he was being fed? so much so that he literally starved to death? the author then writes a whole chapter with the MC gearing up to sacrifice his future cultivation resource to save his sister, then does a 180 and backtracks to go sell pure unaltered spirit rice in the black market (with no preparation, scouting, etc) to a random man who obviously has bad intentions. then he gets mugged and runs away to escape. honestly there's nothing wrong with the writing or anything like that. the translation is also fine. I just feel like the author is flying by the seat of their pants and doesn't really have a good idea of what they want this story to be. writing a story without a clear goal just makes it confusing and frustrating to read. I wouldn't give it a one star, because it *does* seem like the author has a destination, but it seems like they don't know how to get there at all.
the MC is not reborn, he transmigrated into a world that didn't have Minecraft, and then for some reason Minecraft became a virtual reality game produced by the government of different countries. he does not have a lot of money until after he starts selling the cheated in items. in the beginning of the game, there are no potions other than the power potions given to the first guilds in the game. he cannot swap them for any other types of potions after he gets infinite power potions. I genuinely don't know what story assasins1 is reading.
about the story: I don't like it. the MC is too op and doesn't seem to have any drive other than playing the game that he fell in love with in his past life. this would be fine if it's a slice of life story but it really isn't, it's more of a power creep. I can't say whether the real world will merge with the Minecraft one because I genuinely don't want to keep reading this. it's a weird mix of traditional game world stories and traditional infinite resource stories but it does nothing original or cool with either. it's also a love letter from the author to one of their favourite games but they also seem to bastardise it in the process. I can't say it's shit, but I can't say it's enjoyable to read.
this is a relatively complete doomsday story. the MC is not op at the start, not does she have a prominent golden finger other than more money than others. it's logical and balanced, and I didn't find any brain holes in it while reading. it's a lot more heartwarming than I was expecting it to be. if you like doomsday stories with more scenes of humanity working together with less stressful moments, this is a good one to choose.
its very unserious. the system is also op. it also has the problem of apocalypse novels where nothing is really a threat/problem so you don't feel like it's an apocalypse at all. you can turn your brain off to read this.
some people are just so annoying. it's a mistag, no one murdered your family. why are you guys one starring for a mistag. if you're writing a review talk about the actual story, please. all this does is make it harder for people to judge if to read these kinds of stories. and this story is not bad at all! it's just a gender swapped sign in cultivation story. the protagonist is calm and low-key, so you know there won't be any face-slapping or generic nonsense. the system is powerful if a little strange. like I don't know why it gives her a literal picture of herself when checking in to scenic spots but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. if you like calm cultivation stories that aren't all about fighting and bloodshed this is for you. it's really no different from other slice of life cultivation stories. the author even put no CP in the synopsis, you don't even have to worry about romance. if you never want to read about a different perspective ever I don't know why you're reading books by Chinese authors in the first place. the fun of reading is to experience new things, strange places and different perspectives. refusing to read a story because the MC is a woman is extremely odd.
ETA: actually reading the story now, this is a genuine first work of the author and it shows. I think I would give it 4 stars for effort. it's a little juvenile, and the author has a difficult time making the story have gravity, mystery and suspense. the genre helps it, being a slice of life means that none of that is super important. it is a cozy read, chill vibes, not a lot of stress. it's very cute though. if you don't like that don't read it.
