That temporal leap from 1950s to early 1990s was annoying, especially when you read about some character reaching for a phone!
Otherwise, good writing!
As well written and translated as this was, I just can't get behind a story with an MC that is a Jack of all trades. Too boring, be it conceptually or thematically.
Thematically, the plot simply stagnates as the author just throws one power up after another all in the guise of character upgrades when in reality, they are not going anywhere. Talents clash or get forgotten, some are meaningless, not in the sense that they don't help the MC, but rather because they are just filler to let the reader accept that it is all random.
Conceptually, the MC really never grows. By having everything given to them, be it because they hunted for it or fought or tricked to obtain, it is not theirs. No different from those 'check-im' nonsense novels where the MC lives on freebies to be the greatest of all etc etc. Anyways, this is the main reason I cannot accept these themed novels. I'm here to see growth and change, not someone trying out new clothes just to see how they fit.
In a world where there are enemies with multiple realms above you SEARCHING for you, you wind up announcing your talents like that?
Feels like this was either written by a child, or an idiot.
