相反，亚瑟学习的是一种整个哈利波特世界之中很少涉及到的魔法，与雷电相关的魔法。
这是他穿越之前所玩的游戏里面，他使用的一个满级角色所拥有的能力，雷法。
本来他想等待雷法大成，横空出世，对着伏地魔大声喊道：“以雷霆，击碎黑暗！！！”
但是，失去了脑子的伏地魔，不仅想要抢夺魔法石，还想要控制他。
亚瑟因此遇到了第一次威胁到他生命的危机。
不过，因祸得福的亚瑟却找到了除了雷霆之外的另一条道路——灵魂魔法。

伏地魔亲手给自己标记了一个他遇见过最强大的敌人，他再一次在他不知情的情况下实现了关于救世主的预言。
在他死亡的那一刻，他的内心感到了无比悔恨。
这个时候他才想起了著名的五星评论上将——麦克阿瑟曾经说过的话，“开始的时候，我以为我什么都知道，能掌控一切；但后来发现，事实是我什么都不知道。”
