Okay, nothing super good, not super bad either
There is a lot of chinese dickriding but ignoring that, it is an decent kingdom building novel, has good pacing and is mostly focused on political system reformation
One of the best Kingdom Building novels that I have read.
Very Realistic, Excellent Pacing, Good Likable Characters and most importantly, no Chinese Nationalism
while i really liked this novel, i do have some complaints
it starts of pretty slow, mc doesn't become op right away, he has a golden finger, a magic compass which increases his cultivation speed but doesn't explain anything else
it has focus on territory building, army building, fighting (mostly large battles and rarely individual battles)
it also involve a lot of politics and decent economics
but its ending is really really rushed
upto chapter 780s, only 10-15 years are passed but in last dozen or so chapters 30 years pass in a blink, in last chapter 300 years pass
considering author other novels like holy roman empire, the pace should have been more controlled, the entire novel is jam packed with action without any rest for mc, he is always going around leading armies and fighting, it would have been better if there was some rest in between major events, some time skips, some focus on peace and territory management
in conclusion- the ending is too rushed and is not satisfying enough but has very solid territory and army building
