The MC is pretty unlikeable. He is around 24 in his previous life, and around 14 in his reborn life, but he has temper tantrums and overacts to even the simplest things, acting like a chuunibyo, thinking yelling and threatening people at every turn is cool. Lines he keeps repeating like "Don't make me repeat myself" even to an AI is eye rolling. why tf are you threatening an AI?
The MC is always faced with unreasonable hate and disdain by the people around him especially the official people who he has to interact with many times. No matter what good he does, what he says that turns out to be true, the MC is always subject to hostility and prejudice. He's treated like a rat crossing the street that can disgust anyone. This isn't a faceslap setup either, because there is no faceslap. The hate against the MC is just constant and pervasive from strangers to soldiers, to officials, to survivors alike, and even if he gains merit for something good he does, that merit goes to someone else that hasn't done anything. Is this fun to read? No it's not. Your blood pressure will just rise.
Mc has such a loser mentality that it's hard to read sometimes. You can think of him as a beta forced into a leading position due to the apocalypse, but even though it's the apocalypse half the time his head is thinking about sexual things or about chasing the girl that's with him. The events are also illogical. Such as the MC acquires a space for storage, and his team member don't ask a thing when things disappear and reappear out of thin air? They just act as if everything is normal. The author is more focused on the MC being a simp for girls.
It feels like the author is using the story to express his frustration with women in the real world who look down on him, so he humiliates prideful woman and forces them to have sex with him. He is no different from a connon fodder villain in any other novel.
Just a numbers game.
One sentence - "MC gets two concubines."
A few chapters later "MC gets two more concubines."
"MC gets 100 soldiers" nothing else is said about them.
The author spends more time on menial tasks that the MC does - like every step of making a pill, than actually describing progression events well.
He has a contract beast - a fox - that transforms into a human girl that looks about 13/14 years old. Our MC, who is reborn, and who has lived up to at least 26 years old in the past, gets a fcking nosebleed. She, who looks like a child, is naked every time she transforms, and MC makes notice that she's flat as a board but his sexual desires are stirred. He's 16 years old now but MENTALLY he's already 26! The fox girl, who has the mental capacity of a 5 year old since she was born just months ago, is made to call the MC "husband". Can authors NOT include their fetishes in their stories??
