child - deranged author of Dragon Country

One more person to add to the deranged list -MakotoSenpai, no one should reproduce with this thing.

I'll read something when it has value MakotO, not other people's delusions of grandeur. If you want to bend over backwards for the Chinese go ahead I'll watch back here. you really like smut.

Only a few chapters in, and the MC’s already making dumb decisions. He’s got a cheat panel that could make him strong fast, but instead he pretends to be weak—for no real reason. In a war-torn world, that’s not clever, it’s suicidal.

The story also throws in random “cultivation” stuff like herbal baths and chakra refining, which doesn’t fit Naruto at all. Chakra isn’t some mystical energy you purify—it’s stamina tied to your body and bloodline. Mixing in wuxia elements just clashes with the setting.

Then there’s the Hyūga drama. The Caged Bird Seal is bad, sure, but the fic treats the branch family like slaves straight out of a dark cultivation sect. That’s a huge exaggeration. And Itachi’s portrayal? Way off—he’s written like some edgy kid who picks fights for no reason.

What really kills it for me, though, is the MC’s hypocrisy. He lectures Itachi about lightening up and acting like a normal kid, but he’s been sulking about the Hyūga branch clan’s fate since chapter one. He talks about understanding others’ pain but clearly doesn’t get Itachi’s at all—judging him with modern, moral high-ground logic instead of the harsh reality of a war-torn world, where every choice costs lives. It just makes him come off as self-righteous and clueless.

Could’ve been a cool “rise from the shadows” story, but it’s bogged down by bad logic, out-of-character writing, and edgy clichés. Some readers might like it, but it’s definitely not for me.

At first, it was good — an interesting take with the MC being part of the Hyuga main family. But as the story went on, it became frustrating. Almost every chapter, the MC and the Hyuga Clan are targeted by someone: Kumo, Mist, Root, the Kurama Clan, Obito lurking in the shadows, Orochimaru, Danzo, even Hiruzen and the Anbu.

The MC already saved Minato and Kushina, so I expected a calmer period or a timeskip arc. But no — the story keeps throwing political chaos at him, making it seem like Minato still died in the Nine-Tails incident. There’s barely any environmental or political improvement around the MC. Everyone wants him dead, and the Hyuga destroyed.

Although some chapters mention Minato strengthening his political power, in reality, the Hyuga — right in the village center — continue to face endless trouble. Over time, it becomes suffocating to read because the MC never gets a break. Even when Danzo nearly dies, Minato saves him, which honestly made me think Minato had turned into Hiruzen 2.0.

What’s worse, no other clans seem to react. Despite the Hyuga being constantly attacked, the other clans act blind and just follow Hiruzen’s lead, even with Minato still as Hokage.

Overall, it’s a fresh concept, skipping the usual Hyuga family drama. But the endless targeting, heavy political focus, and lack of progress make it exhausting to read. By chapter 110 or so, Hiruzen and his faction still practically rule Konoha, even three years after Nine Tails incident. It looks like to me author will dragging it until chapter 300ish and Danzo and Hiruzen will still alive, And when 800ish will become chunin arc, And 2000ish for Four Ninja War happened.

I’ll keep it saved to see and re-rating it if improves later, but for now, it’s just too suffocating and repetitive.

MC is criticizing the primitive people who have a system of thinking in a feudal society. He is analyzing and interpreting the ancient people with modern standards. How stupid do you have to be to think like this?

In ancient times, books were considered gold, or even more so, a form of knowledge passed down through generations as the foundation of a family. But teachers distributed them to the common people, allowing them to read widely. Do you think this is so evil? How stupid do you have to be to think this way?

So you're saying that Galileo Galilei was stupid? He was an ancient man whose theories were sometimes right and sometimes wrong, and some were copied. Are you saying that many famous people in ancient times, they were so stupid that they wrote the wrong theories? Albert Einstein, many of his theories were borrowed from ancient people and reinterpreted. Are you saying that he is stupid and naive for thinking that much when there is very little information available to him? If you think that way, then keep thinking. I support you and encourage you.

Warning!!⚠️ Warning!! ⚠️ : — Pure poison ahed.

Honestly, I’ve read plenty of below-average novels, and I understand that not every story can be a masterpiece. But this one feels like intentional rage-baiting. Or his potential consumers are all psychos, w distorted sense of nationalism. Here system basically pops up after reincarnation and the first thing mc did was to destroy Japan and kill millions of people. I don't know what kind of people like these kind of novel. But this is beyond me. Honestly It's sad, this kind of novel gets censorship pass but R.I doesn't.

Warning!! ⚠️ Warning!!⚠️- Pure poison ahead.

I’ve read my fair share of brainless novels and built up quite a bit of poison resistance—but this one is beyond me. Both the master and disciple know they’re reincarnated, yet the disciple still curses him like a shrew, and the idiot MC still doesn’t kill them. I genuinely can’t understand what’s stopping him. Honestly, it makes me think he kind of deserved what happened to him in his first life. Why would he even accept such useless people as disciples when there are countless others with decent aptitude? Not to mention, there's no oath about not betraying the sect and teacher either. Does it make sense? Heck even companies make contracts not mention cultivation world w stricter rules. Again any sane cultivator should plan ahead for a rainy day—so why didn’t he place any restrictions/conditions on them before investing so much? He's not their dad. Why give so many resources for free? If possible, I’d rate this even lower.

Edit- Thank you, @Empypon and @EnlargedRat, for the award — I really appreciate it!

Poison Level: Mid-Heaven Tier. Caution: Contains karmic backdrafts, blood-soaked schematics, and philosophical migraines.

Amitabha... This lowly wanderer ventured through the ominous mountain path of regression...only to find himself chewing on ashes of fate, wrapped in karmic incense. A story where even the Foundation Establishment realm dares to poke at the laws of causality and probability, like drunken immortals gambling with the Heavens’ credit line.

Unlike those sects that chant righteousness while hoarding jade beauties, this demonic sect cultivates real filth and fungi: corpse-filled dungeons, conniving side characters, and schemes that could make even a nascent soul cultivator cry for their momma. The MC? A Neutral-to-Evil cultivator who smiles not to charm but to calculate your lifespan like a tax auditor from the underworld.

Merits (Medicinal Rank):

- Side characters don’t disintegrate after 3 chapters. They linger, like debts.

- The regression trope is handled like a Dao of Reincarnated Bureaucracy—not just to become OP but to explore this unholy crucible of a world.

- Cultivation feels earned. No free dao fruits falling from the sky.

☠️ Poison Vein Alerts:

The power system is dense. You will be tempted to open spreadsheets. You have been warned.

Reading while multitasking may cause karmic backlash due to skipped names, ghostly sects, or sudden soul-crushing betrayals.

Suggested Mindset:

Do not enter expecting “Villain MC with a Heart of Gold.” He has no heart. Just a ledger and a shovel.

Final Verdict:

A refreshing, grim elixir among diluted mortal wines. One that stains the robes of justice sect readers and leaves the faint scent of 'I'm too sober for this'.

Would recommend to fellow Daoists who have stared too long into the face-slapping void and are now ready for plots that twist like serpent veins in a cursed gourd.

This fanfic had a strong start, but it gradually became boring. The main problem is the MC constantly getting dragged into every canon storyline of each world he visits — whether it’s Demon Slayer or Fairy Tail, he always ends up tagging along with Tanjiro or Natsu. There are small changes caused by his presence, but they’re minor and don’t influence the overall narrative in any meaningful way.

Even in the supposed “main” world — Fairy Tail — nothing major shifts. Lisanna still “dies,” the guild remains unchanged, and despite the MC having been there for years, his existence barely matters. He joins everything simply because the plot expects him to, not because he chooses to.

And that’s the biggest flaw: the MC doesn’t need to be involved in every canon event to make an impact. He could step into only the major arcs — like the Phantom Lord War, Tower of Heaven, or Tenrou Island — or in Demon Slayer, only during the big fights with the Lower/Upper Moons or Muzan. Instead, he’s inserted into every single plot point, making the story feel repetitive and predictable.

On top of that, the MC feels shallow. His behavior makes him seem like a bystander who simply watches events unfold and occasionally intervenes. There’s no depth, no strong personal narrative — just passive involvement.

In short:

The writing is decent and the concept has potential, but the lack of impactful divergence from canon and the MC’s weak agency make the story feel like wish-fulfillment filler rather than a true alternate storyline. It had promise, but the execution drags the enjoyment down.
