This is Tokyo, an international metropolis. Behind its bustling facade, as countless people drift off to sleep each night, human fears intertwine, coalescing in the city’s dark underside into a catastrophic alternate world.
This world is called Yūmei, where skeletons pile like mountains, bones form endless forests, and a sea of blood roils eternally.

The hunters glare at the boy standing calmly in the middle of the battlefield, effortlessly tearing demons to shreds, and curse aloud:
“Are you seriously calling that ordinary?!”
This is a Tokyo Strange Tale of “attending school, working part-time, and dating during the day, while turning into a demon hunter at night, slipping through shadows and wading through blood.”
Every night at midnight, Kurusu Akira descends into Yūmei, joining all of Tokyo’s demon hunters in sweeping away the frenzied demons of hell.
He believes that the demons of Tokyo will never shed tears.
And so—
He begins to ravage Yūmei.
