The Dead Apostles are weakened, but not completely destroyed. Victor, a time traveler determined to become a great magus, is unexpectedly forced onto a path he never imagined. He is branded with the curse of the First Embrace. "I'm helpless to have to switch sides like this," Victor said helplessly, his hair in his hand, a look of pain in his face as he looked towards the "superior" in the corner, who looked menacing and threatened to kill him at the slightest disagreement. "Speaking of which, how did you, the dignified True Ancestor of the Dead Apostles, a true princess, end up like this?" ... ... ... A semi-game system: The protagonist's innate abilities (source) are [gamified], and as they increase in ability, they unlock features including maps, dungeons, team formations, and even a card drawing system. A semi-time travel system, the dungeon system includes simulations of major events, gates to other worlds, and challenging powerful enemies. Semi-invincibility, a common trait of some authors, emphasizes logic over brute force, and small setbacks are sometimes the product of a greater purpose. A semi-villain, the protagonist prioritizes self-interest, but doesn't mind showing a little kindness occasionally. However, he is not a saint, and is in the dual camps of the Dead Apostles and the Selfish Magicians.
