One of biggest bait and switch novels I have read - first 100 (or so) chapters are slow and methodical, next 400 chapters are so fast and blurry, that you might be overwhelmed. Also, despite presented in 1st chapter, there are no aliens in this novel, supposed martial arts/firearms ban (presented in 2nd chapter) is also a lie and the biggest lie is that this novel is still ongoing - I've checked in Qidian, this one is marked as completed with the latest chapter being 527 on 2025/01 and author has started next novel. Oh well... 1.9/5 in my personal rating.

Below average, but hear me out as it's quite controversial. - System is a mess: it consists of 2 separate parts (skill training based on proficiency and internal organs "unlocking", which basically gives some unique (and OP, of course) traits), which aren't (clearly) connected thus making this all System stuff very confusing. Hell, there is not even indicator of overall MC cultivation progress. - But it gets worse as author doesn't understand basic logic of martial arts novels. I mean, since System assists MC with martial arts skills training and these skills have your usual comprehension levels (entry, minor/major achievement, perfection, etc) then MC should supposedly be very skilled guy and he is, just on System panel table, while in "real" life he gets his ass kicked or barely fights to a draw with guys in his generation, although he should crush anyone young unless they are either super geniuses or have very big cultivation realm advantage. - But it get worse 2 as author has to show/explain why MC is stronger than opponents and he delves into auxiliary arts and alike. But the problem is that author breaks basic rules/logic. I mean you can write that MC becomes medicine master (for example) in 3 months/years on his own, while consecutively doing other stuff, but it's not very convincing. That's where System should come in, but author isn't smart enough. - Really embarrassing conflict escalation - pretty much everyone "aggroes" on bystander MC, while author spent a lot of words to setup decorations/plot, which further reinforces this point. + And finally - there are several mystery (or rather crime) cases where I liked how MC solved them. Not sure if author copied them from somewhere, but according to notes he did some homework (in one arc notes he gave an CN history example to prove some secondary character/faction behaviour is valid) 2.2/5 in my personal rating

Solid average. -/+ OP System, but at least doesn't upgrade later. +/- Nice high end cultivation system, but author failed to write any interesting plot, so it evens out. -/+ 90% sure "The First Marquis of Daxuan" used the same starting template (~50 first chapters). Main plot points changed, but details - not (same city distribution (districts, ruling families), same shortcut to reach limit in the realm (to use several different cultivation techniques), it even has same demon fighting division...). Anyway, this one is better. 2.6/5 in my personal rating.

Below average, bordering trash. The biggest problem is that this novel is one of biggest clickbaits ever: - System supposedly grants comprehension, but later author added other features to it, which played significantly bigger part in the plot. - Also you'd think that MC excels in comprehension, but lags in other things. Wrong! It's completely opposite situation - MC excels in cultivation (breaking through extremes like drinking water), but always lacks in comprehension (except the very first chapters, I suppose). I know that it doesn't make sense, but it is what is it... - Overall it's pretty much classic cultivation novel with secret realms/opportunities/etc.. with System slapped on. Author could replace System features with some specific artefacts and it'd be the same outcome. I was sceptical at the beginning, but as I read more and more, I'm starting to believe that there is some shady business revolving around Qidian (or whatever biggest CN web novel website is), which offers ideas/initially written starting chapters for sale. I can't think any other explanation regarding this or other novels with the same issue. 2/5 in my personal rating. P.S. chapters ~660-960 are repeating ones, you can skip them.

Your average System novel, which by the way is actually quite good since 99.99% of similar novels are (bordering) trash. +/- OP System, although author honestly tried to put (reasonable) limits on it. - lack of general plot: MC just wanders around while author tries find excuses for his killing sprees 2.5/5 in my personal rating.

A bit above average for the first 100 chapters, later it got significantly worse, bordering trash. To put it nicely author's ambitions are way bigger than his actual skill. At the end it's just big mess. - OP System (cultivates for you by spending points), but it had somehow interesting resource (points) gathering. Alas, like I said earlier, just for the first 100 chapters. Later author added several different ways to generate points, skill cost reduction making System usage effortless. But no worries, author had a solution! - One of most frustrating MC cultivation (or rather System usage) experiences I have ever read (to be fair I usually drop such novels outright) - firstly it was lack of cultivation skills (need to changed after every major realm), but after 3-4 times author thought of new trick - quantity. MC cultivates zillion of techniques, secondary arts (like alchemy), unique skills, martial arts and other sh*t author could think of, instead of just raising his cultivation realm and crushing everyone. Yes, that simple. Usually he has like 40-70% system points and instead of saving them, he just spends on mentioned things. Sometimes it was justified, but most of the time it was not and frankly retarded. I pretty much dropped reading after like 5th or 6th time.. + plot is somehow decent, but it's not really enough to keep you reading. Also it has one problem (below): - Very bad worldbuilding, which also affected plot badly - author just pulls out his ass new factions with bunch of high lvl cultivators or reveals some "hidden" strength of a villain, which makes no sense and creates huge plot holes. 2/5 in my personal rating.

The good thing is that this author can write, the bad thing is that novel is still way below average, bordering trash. +/- The System is not super OP (let's learn/fuse skills), but author was lazy or didn't bother, so it requires pretty much nothing to operate (as opposed to finding some items, defeating/killing and etc.), so it evens out. - Very obvious lack of common sense, which I personally hate the most. - In first chapters MC is kind of quite smart guy, or at least looks like is transmigrator, later author stopped pretending and made MC your usual edgy 16 year boy (and that's where I dropped it, because it'll get only worse). 2/5 in my personal rating.

Certified trash. - System? OK. Gives "XP" for killing anything sentient? OK... Also kills have a chance to drop "loot" like martial arts or (OP) items? C'mon it's not cheat anymore, it's plot armour. - "Borrowed" pretty much all martial arts names and descriptions from multiple sources (mostly from Jin Yong's wuxia novels, if I identified correctly), which is low class and already tells that author lacks creativity. - super simplified plot/characters/worldbuilding - it's pretty much "kill kill kill". Author tried to change some of that and also add some humour after ~400 chapters, which unironically made novel worse. Why? Because if somebody is still reading this trash after 400 chapters it's not for fancy plot/characters/worldbuilding for sure :)))) + The only good thing is that is should end around 600 chapters, so author has some restraint and is self-conscious more or less. Next novel should be better, also who knows it might be even the birth of really good author - after all guy had enough self respect to not start from fan fiction (haha). + Also this is a good indicator regarding reviews - you can pretty much ignore guys, who are telling that this novel is good or at least average. They are either hypocrites, liars or have no clue. - And yes, I've read all 600 chapters, I hate myself for being weak and this novel is still trash. - If you want similar but a little bit better quality - read "Begin immortality by slaying demons". Still below average, though. 1.8/5 in my personal rating.

Technically it's a trash System novel. Super unoriginal with bits and pieces copied from multiple sources. Hell, even the main selling point is pretty much copying Chinese mythological character. Add barebone worldbuilding/characters/plot and that's what you get. Trash. It is what is is. 2/5 in my personal rating.

Disappointingly a bit above average. Because first 100 chapters or so were really really good. Reminded me of "Global Gaowu" (which I consider best Chinese web novel I've ever read) - martial arts as social lift, smart and meticulous MC, step by step improvement, carefully planned face slapping and even a bit of humour. I'm pretty sure those first 100 or so chapters were at least inspired by "Global Gaowu" (aka "World's best martial artist"). Unfortunately author couldn't keep it up: - I don't mind System (I did before, but "Global Gaowu" proved me wrong), but author started upgrading it (o rather changing its features) with each MC ream upgrade, thus transforming it from a cheat to a plot armour. - Probably the worst thing - author tries too hard to make world revolve around MC. I mean most of authors do, but not to such absurd level. Without spoiling much - imagine that some kinder garden prodigy actions could affect country's internal politics... - clumsy world building. Author has really thick skin to write that those super martial arts guys couldn't find out in several thousand years that they were on an island... - harem, but since MC is a transmigrator and there was no appropriate chapter with FL consent, technically it makes MC two-timing scum. Whatever. Novel isn't that bad, it's more me being really disappointed :( 3/5 in my personal rating.
