In late 2019, a sudden COVID-19 pandemic swept the globe, trapping Liang Yun, a Chinese student studying in South Korea. A high-achieving music student, he found himself confined to his rented apartment due to the pandemic, where he unexpectedly created a song filled with loneliness and hope, titled "Isolation." The song unexpectedly went viral online, attracting an offer from Starship Entertainment, one of South Korea's top entertainment companies. Liang Yun, an ordinary-looking, easygoing, and somewhat reclusive young man, was forced to step from behind the scenes into the spotlight, using his musical talent and unique personal charm to create a series of stories—some innocent, some hilarious, some touching—ultimately leading to his rise to the top.
