Buddy kills every single person in Japan, from the elderly to newborn babies and sacrifices there souls to some demon bann... ahem 'human emperor banner'. The guy actually feels jubilant after doing that, and for some reason he gets rewarded with merit?
The novel was pretty good up until that point and I didn't even suspect this coming out of the left field.
Chapter 159.
As a review above said, it's really slow. It's been 50 chapters and it just reads like a slice of life story, which isn't bad, but it's not what I signed up for. There isn't a lot of nationalism from what I can see, but the author does have a tendency to bring up China quite a few times.
