Can’t believe i read it all…
Besides a few continuity mistakes and face slapping cliques, this novel was definitely a fun read.
Too bad the ending was bland and rushed. Many side plots were also left unfinished.
Am I a complete sucker for fantasy farming and agriculture novels. This is perhaps one of the most interesting and fairly well researched novel I've read so far.
The only flaws so far being the absence of hops in the beer making process and the lack of more chapters for me to indulge in.
Otherwise, even without a strong plot and overarching antagonist, this novel has me more hooked than a crackhead to crack.
Would definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys fantasy, technical farming and beer brewing.
What a dissatisfying end…
Really enjoyed majority of the novel.
From plot, the main character’s personality, internal and external conflict, to the cultivation systems and special ability of the main character. All left me eager to know more and continue reading.
Some parts were slightly difficult to read, i assume because of bad translation and bad writing. However, these chapters didn’t prevent me from enjoying the novel.
The ending seemed extremely rushed, although it brought a close the main conflict, it left many minor plots and parts of the world unexplored and unexplained.
This novel seems to me a passion project, lacking in rigorous plot and story design.
Fun and interesting to read. Just way too much meaningless conflict.
Honestly with how many villains and unruly people the protagonist encounters, you might as well rename the city to Gotham.
If it weren’t for how much I enjoy story’s with protagonists with similar personalities, I wouldn't be able to read this.
The amount of tags is insane, cant imagine how the story develops to be able to include genies…
Out of all the novels with similar gold-fingers this has to be my favourite rendition.
Plus the interesting setting, characters, and interpersonal relationships, makes this novel gripping.
Only downside is I finished reading all the available chapters in a day, causing me to become depressed.
Honestly really enjoy the setting and special ability.
I feel the personality of the main character is more down to earth, which is a pleasant bit of fresh air compared to the neurotic main characters commonly portrayed.
Only downside for me would be how quickly the positions and dynamics between the main character and others switch.
Keen for further chapters, however, I might bookmark and wait a couple months before coming back, as there’s only around 80 chapters on qidian at the moment.
