That day, Penguin Logistics picked up a housekeeper who fell from the sky.
Since the day he was found, we have been living a life of eating well, drinking well and sleeping well every day.
Emiya: What should we cook today?
Shirou Emiya, 17 years old this year, is a magician and also a housekeeper picked up by Penguin Logistics.
Apart from some nightmares sometimes, life is pretty good.
It’s just that he seems to have gained a lot of strange titles recently…
The last conscience of Penguin Logistics
Penguin Logistics Limiter
The most wanted person by the Lungmen Guard
The Red Devil of Lungmen...and other titles that sound itchy.
Emiya: If that's all, then who is Emiya mother???
Penguin Logistics: Mother Emiya, we can't live without you! Don't be blinded by the people of the Lungmen Guard Bureau!
Lungmen Bureau: We also want to eat Mother Emiya's cooking every day! Defeat Penguin Logistics and let Mother Emiya regain his freedom!!!
Emiya: The people here are so strange.
Anyway, this is about Shirou Emiya's daily life after he was hit in the face by the Holy Grail and came to the Terra continent, with the main venue being Arknights.
If you enjoy Shiro Emiya's character, you'll enjoy this novel. This is NOT an OC protagonist using a character template, which I find boring because most of the time, its used as a means for OP abilities and strength while ignoring who they were/are, rather than diving into the template's motivations, characteristics, etc. This is Shiro Emiya transmigrating to the Arknights World.
Although there are a lot of Arknights characters, they are slowly introduced and prior knowledge of both Arknights and Fate is not required to enjoy it.
It should be noted that Shiro is OP in this novel, but its done well and he isnt strong for sake of being strong. His strength has clear purpose in the story, so its very reasonable.
I believe the author has a good grasp on the characters from the two series, and uses them well.
The arcs consists of 60% slice of life so you get to know the characters, 30% critical conflict/event where you learn about the world and Shiro's place in it, and 10% interesting mysteries about the other versions of Shiro in this world sprinkled here and there.
Shiro's core trait of self-destructive heroism is the underlying focus of the plot, as many characters slowly learn and care for Shiro, who can put the needs of others before his own, and sacrifice himself to save even a random person.
Overall, I would highly recommend, especially if my review sounded appealing or if you enjoy Shiro as a character
Very enjoyable, I think the writing and planning was well done, and although there are sad moments, the author makes it clear that they want to give it a good ending, which, for me, is great (even though I love sad ends too).
With that said, it might be hard to follow with all the characters being introduced if you arent a Genshin fan (I'm not so it was a bit difficult), but the inclusions of the OC protagonist characters was executed very well. I dont often read novels with female protagonists, but this novel has some very interesting and distinct protagonists.
I dont have much complaints, it can get really dark in the later arcs, and there was one arc/region that was hard to follow and a bit boring where i had to skim it, but that was something like 6-10 chapters max, probably less, whereas all the rest kept my full attention and I binged the whole novel in one go.
Overall, I would highly recommend if the novel summary interests you.
Good so far, some issues that can detract from enjoyment:
Yugioh is more for flavour, as the duels end very fast and is very clearly not the focus, but still interesting to see the archetypes used by different Type-Moon characters.
Protagonist is very OP, from the start, and its clear he wont lose ever. I can see this getting boring. His abilities and decks are interesting because theyre constantly changing, but due to this, its hard to see any actual "growth" of the MC, as a character or even duelist, despite being able to fuse materials into cards (which, to me, doesnt feel too impactful due to his constantly changing deck)
Due to how OP the MC is, he speedruns the Fate story-lines, but he does try to make changes for the better. It doesnt seem to be a harem so far, though a very light set up for it is possible. It just doesnt seem likely since he constantly goes to different Fate worlds.
Overall, if you want light Yugioh elements while leaning into Fate, you might like this novel. I hope it will have more depth and a seemingly long set up for a big story arc, but thats to see.
If you enjoy this type of setting, then this one will be enjoyable. The MC is a bit spineless like most MCs in stories like this, but has decent motivations. The cast is mostly reasonable despite the setting, with most chapters being entertaining enough.
The only character interaction I am not a fan of is the president, Symboli Rudolf, who feels excessively dominant and has too many chapters focused on her later on, where I almost dropped the story.
With that said, I am not a fan of settings like this usually because excessiveness is played for comedy or just isnt fun and is rather annoying. If you already like this type of setting and enjoy Uma Musume, then you'll like this novel. I would only recommend this if you have some interest in either the setting, or the fan fic of Uma, which is why I tried it.
Personally, it was alright, I'd like to see more mainly because the latest chapter ended on a cliff hanger, but if thats it, its not a loss for me. Good for a casual read
Not interested in movies and shows like Zootopia or Beastars, but this is quite interesting and well written.
Some of the genres seem wrong, its not comedic, but quite serious, I read up to the latest and havent seen any comedic scenes. Also not sure if its actually fan-fiction, I cant find any actual info on its world or the characters, so other than maybe taking inspiration from those series I mentioned, it seems original.
Looking forwards to more chapters
Its somewhat interesting but frustrating, for me. I like his strongest disciple, the dog, and how it gets its opportunities, and I understand why the MC doesn't favor his human disciples, but its a bit too bitter for me when they get constantly kicked and trashed while theyre down, even if its somewhat deserved.
They ignored the treasure MC gave them, so they get what they deserve, but pretty much everything else afterwards is a constant down hill for them, where they dont even get scraps left by the MC and his dog to improve.
The contrast is too forced and bitter that I cant find myself to enjoy it. His human students are clearly taken from other series but as underdogs, i would enjoy it more if they actually managed to get stronger and achieve their goals, but still get suppressed and is weaker than a dog, both in strength and potential.
Its one thing to toss away their golden opportunity and let the dog gain it instead, and have them regret it, but its another thing to have them lose massive lifespan or become crippled and nothing to show for it. Its too big of a contrast, and not really funny if that was the goal. I'd rather it be comedic but its just pathetic and frustrating to read about his human students.
Pretty good, Naruto can travel between the Naruto world and Hitman Reborn world. The relation between Naruto and the Hitman Reborn characters are interesting and the plotline is adjusted to be new, so I enjoy it, but the Naruto world is a lot more boring, and not as interesting since the plotline isnt adjusted as much.
I want to enjoy it, and its relatively decent, but its far too slow, personally. I enjoy the filming chapters, but for every 1 filming chapter, its followed by 5 slice-of-life/slow burn, or even filler, chapters. It bogs down the progress so much, that you have to be seriously invested to actually keep reading. Currently 152 chapters in, and its his 2nd movie (technically 3rd thing hes working on, 2 movies and a TV show). It starts off with TYPE-MOON IPs and branch to others, but going to be honest, I've read similar novels with better execution and end goals.
