Heavily inspired by Warlock of the Magus World, but there's from time to time some nice tidbits. Also I especially like the world building and the MC's personality. They aren't too edgy. I know it's a low bar to set but having read many Wizards novel, most authors confuse rational and selfish with dark and edgy.
On the other side it can get boring sometimes (especially on later chapters where the author started to master the talking a lot without saying anything great dao) but reader mode helped me soldier through.
Anyways, it's a fine read. I recommend it.
What bothers me with this Teacher's novel is that they only take talented individual as disciples. Then what's the use? They would get stronger anyways without you. It would be more worthwhile to take in random or talentless characters and make something out of them.
Now about this book specifically: it got boring to me also hard to keep track of names that change every chapter.
Seems promising (in term of storyline) but I don't like harem, it doesn't make much sense to me. I can usually bear with it but I especially can't stand it when 80% of the chapters is the protagonist "flirting" with such or such girl or preparing to.
I tried to read it but it's just boring to me. I mean Game of Throne to me without the supernatural and important character dying in imaginative ways is a chore to watch and this seems just like that. Only reason I lasted so long was the no harem tag (I'll maybe come back to it someday).
Not bad but some decisions I can't get behind. Also MC feels too much like he wants to be on everyone good side. What with the obsession with building his power in the Vale that's rejecting him? Anyway it's fine for a casual read like the author's previous book
