The river guardian concept is interesting. However, as the MC is stuck on the river and has no worthy opponents, the author focuses on his daughter, minions and various characters taken from the works of other authors instead. A big chunk of this novel feels like filler.
Interesting setting, world building and magic system. One of the better Necromancer novels. I was not a big fan of the latter half (Hell etc). His sister was kind of pointless.
Like most novels of this type, it starts to suck whenever the focus shifts away from the MC grinding, or other characters get involved. Also, the author simply can't resist making the occasional snide comment about "foreigners". This is despite the MC transmigrating to a different world, the world he transmigrated to being pulled into a multiverse spanning game, and the MC expressing early on that he has no affinity for the residents of the world he transmigrated to. A dimension crossing display of nationalism!
