Mostly about domestic political intrigue, not a lot of combat, conquest, or cross era technology if you're looking for that. Rushed ending, but it was ok.

I read probably 80% of the way through before I realized there was no way the story could actually be completed. I think the author got in trouble for writing about the Japanese. Started out ok, but got slower and slower as time went on. Might be worth wading through if it had a real ending, but it leaves a feeling of constipation instead.
