The first 200 chapters were absolutely 5 stars and then the author destroyed his own master piece. For some reason the author was hell bent on setting a conflict between father and son(mc). The reason was absolutely shit as well, the father of the mc can’t tolerate his son’s lazy temperament and him not cultivating and painting all day long despite his son being a heaven defying genius and realms above in cultivation among his peers. Also the fact that his father humiliated his own son(mc) in the worst way possible. Another problem of mine is that mc is an ungrateful bastard despite sucking all resources and was protected by his clan elders when he was a weakling, he actually left his clan after having a conflict with his father, hell his clan would have kicked out his father has he asked(he was that much of a genius) and then everything turned to shit mc started killing his way to the top and no longer painted and do leisure stuff. @forzaken - resources doesn’t just mean cultivation resources. What about his clan’s connections when he joined the academy? What about his clan’s body refining techniques, or the manpower his clan was giving him when he was playing chess with his servants. How about the canvas on which he paints? Or the paint itself, the mc is dirt poor without his clan. The MC would not have gotten this strong quickly without his clan. His life would not have been this easy and leisurely without his clan’s wealth and manpower, hell we would have died on the streets without his clan to support him.
