Summoned to be a powerless Demon King with no system and no underlings, Rhode originally just wanted to live a peaceful life — farming in some remote, uninhabited corner of the world, sipping tea, and staying carefree.

But as always, things didn’t go as planned.

As a benevolent and kind-hearted Demon King, all sorts of people eventually found shelter in his Demon King’s Castle.

Before he knew it, they were putting up Spring Festival couplets and making dumplings in winter, holding concerts in the summer, organizing sports festivals in autumn, and creating a winter wonderland full of joy and laughter.

What began as a small effort to improve public welfare and boost defense quietly spiraled out of control — the technology tree exploded in all sorts of bizarre directions.

By the time the various races across the continent finally realized that the Demon King had returned…

It was too late.

Armored monsters wielding explosive rifles rained down from the sky in power suits,

And a roaring tide of steel rolled right over the lofty nobles, mages, and kings alike.

“Do you really think I wanted to be king?!

You people dragged me into this mess!”
