In the year 1923 of the Universal Calendar, a war of unprecedented magnitude erupted on a world called Ada. Soldiers from various nations, maneuvering giant mobile armor, slaughtered each other, leaving corpses strewn across the land...

In this war-torn era, Lieutenant Euan Hurst, who traveled from another world, was forced to voluntarily enlist in the army under the order of the Queen of the Histania Empire.

Although he had already prepared himself for the idea that "the world is a giant makeshift organization," he still encountered many unexpectedly bizarre characters, such as a quartermaster who caused shortages in everything he managed, a medical officer who sold soldiers' amputated limbs as organic fertilizer, and even a commander who forced his soldiers to run a half marathon in the middle of winter...

In addition, his ridiculous military career was also filled with various bizarre incidents, such as using burnt bread crumbs instead of coffee powder, deliberately writing the deaths of other soldiers in battle reports to withhold resettlement fees, and executing prisoners of war with poisoned potatoes when he could not find bullets.

When the war ended, a reporter interviewed the now successful Youen. When asked how the war had changed him, he smiled and said:

"I think the biggest change the war has had on me is that it has transformed me from a young man with some mental problems into a young man with a mental illness."

世界历1923年，在名为亚达的世界之上，爆发了规模巨大到前所未有的战争，各国士兵操纵着巨大的机动装甲互相杀伐，尸横遍野……
在这个战火纷飞的年代，从另一世界穿越而来的尤恩-赫斯特少尉，迫受希斯塔尼亚帝国女皇的调令，只得被自愿应征入伍。
虽然早已做好“世界是个巨大的草台班子”的心理准备，他还是遇上了诸多超出预期的奇葩人物，像是只要管什么什么就会短缺的军需官、把士兵截下来的残肢当有机肥贩卖的医务官、甚至还有逼着士兵在大冬天跑半马的指挥官……
除此之外，诸如用烤糊的面包渣替代咖啡粉、故意在战报上写死其他士兵以克扣安置费、找不到子弹而用毒土豆处决战俘等各种各样的奇葩事件也充斥了他那令人哭笑不得的军旅生涯。
待到战争结束，记者采访了已然飞黄腾达的尤恩。而当问及战争如何改变了他时，他如是笑着说道：
“我认为战争对我最大的改变，就是让我从一个精神有点问题的年轻人，变成了一个年龄有点年轻的精神病。”
