On Earth, decades ago, humanity was invaded by strange beings, whose methods proved insufficient to deal with the ever-emerging monsters.

At a time of life and death, an existence called the Light of Legend appeared. The Light of Legend granted humanity the qualification to become the chosen ones. Those chosen would become legendary knights (only those with a heart full of justice and a desire to protect can be chosen) or knights.

Each nation managed to hold onto its remaining territory using the legendary knights they possessed, and the legendary knights and their armies formed a battle line to keep the monsters at bay...

Lu Chengze, a graduate student majoring in mechanical materials science, was transported to Earth by a game called Knight's Workshop. He wasn't chosen by the legendary light, but the Knight's Workshop, which could create knights, became his cheat code...
