Starts okay but quickly becomes unreadable with the ever increasing amounts of nationalism. According to this author everybody but the Chinese are useless idiots, who should be grateful to be allowed to live on the same planet as them.
Author uses nothing but extremely niche little known works as worlds (with the exception of demon slayer), but doesn't tell you anything about them, expecting you to have read/watched an anime that had a 12 episode single season run in 2012.
Mc is a pathetic coward, who's so afraid of change he never once kills a plot important character no matter how many times they try to kill him. He always backs down and begs for scraps from the corps and has no back bone whatsoever.
Mc never kills and lets anybody who tries to kill him get away multiple times (especially if they are women). The only enemies he actually kills are the aliens.
Really, really good so far. Smart mc with believable, likable characters (mostly the other npc's) and something I like, that's rare in this specific genre is that the NPC's are smart and aware, always fun to me.
The author straight up tells the audience nothing. Not where the powers come from, where dungeons come from, why they clear them, what happens if they don't, no history about the world or any information at all about the people/governments/systems that govern it. We are told that an awakening ceremony is happening in ch1 (but nothing about it or how it works) then the mc goes straight into dungeon grinding with no more info. What really killed the story for me is that later we find out the mc is a super special prophesied chosen one who's mother and father abandoned him in an underfunded orphanage for stupid reasons (something something enemies and threats something something prying eyes) despite having many, many very powerful friends who could have taken care of/raised the mc easily and with no trouble, but don't worry the mc still inexplicably loves them and is willing to sacrifice everything and dedicate his whole life to them despite that being completely and totally against every single aspect of the mc's previously observed personality. Fucking trash.
