This novel is so disgusting. Just let the family who want to cut off support just break off the contract since the MC can sell potions now anyway. Instead the MC decides to show off and stroke his own ego.

I will continue reading this when it updates because I still think it has potential, however I have my gripes with it. The text below is my review after 25 or so chapters but I’ll still stick with it now that I’m caught up to 71 chapters. MC seems to have some interesting plans at least.

Why does every one of these types of novels have to have the dao and qi and cultivation??? This is hsr (where the worldview revolves around imaginary energy and paths) and if he was from the Xianzhou I could accept it and see it as valid but this guy’s name is Hermes and he’s a Genius Society member.

I’m not asking for the author to come up with nobel prize level theories or even use sci fi stuff, I just wish they wouldn’t throw off the entire worldview that’s in place by forcefully inserting stuff that contradicts the supposedly logical genius the MC is supposed to be. It’s an actual good story but it’s immersion breaking.

So let me get this straight; a woman bullied you for years, made you apologize after humiliating you, almost made you lick her feet (which the protagonist was about to do), threatened to expel you on false grounds and overall made your life hell. So the accumulated hatred can't even be imagined for a normal person.

But you (the protagonist) decide to take her in as your woman to have your child? just because she meets the criteria given by the system???!!!

And he wasn't in a desperate situation where if he didn't take her in he would die, no, the system gave him as an initial gift 10 times average adult strength, a weapon and a system space. So in that situation he "did not hesitate" (the author's exact words) to save her. Is she the only woman in the world? Is it logical to take such a person as your woman, a person with such a vile character? You can't find anyone else, literally anyone else???

Does being with a beautiful woman warrant a man to become a retard and not make any realistic/personal decisions. Really, how much of a spineless piece of shit must one be to make such a decision!!!

hahahaha this dumbass author, a ordinary human main character, a beginner who just learn love breathing technique (demon slayer world) and chakra + byakugan + gentle fist (naruto world) can fight toe to toe with Monkey D. Honestly this novel had a lot of potential to be developed but it was all ruined by the emergence of xianxia rules such as dao, qi and heavenly law. Reading honkai star rail stories with a worldview related to imaginary powers and destiny but mixed with Chinese nonsense makes me sick. Even though I really liked the concept and the setting of the story and was very excited at the beginning, when the scene from the Chinese perspective appeared, I was fed up, especially when several Chinese characters appeared. The one in the chat group and after seeing that I knew which direction this story would develop but I forced myself to read to see hope but it all stopped, When he came to the typical Chinese blue planet and added Dao nonsense and heavenly rules.

This book feels like a written version of a bad japanese anime. There's a subtle feeling of annoyance that keeps growing the more I read it. Dialogues don't make sense and plot is just mediocre. My guess author is a high schooler who watched a lot of japanese anime in this genre and decided to make his own version. Well mate, you should try harder next time.

MC returns from the future where he died from a monster attack, gets superpowers, turns into a girl in the process and then proceeds to join official organization.

Then we learn that his mother is a Commander-in-Chief of this organization and she deliberately didn't let MC know about the hidden side of the world despite everyone around her doing exactly so because she "didn't want him to enter this circle". Yeah, b*tch, and then he died half a year later because he was powerless, what exactly did you protect, huh?

Anyway there's a generic 1st fight scene and then they go to school (because of course in China even if you have superpowers you still have to go to school and university for some reason). I didn't read further, maybe it'll get better but I doubt it.
