Not what I was expecting.
Ends up being a very generic cyberpunk story. The execution is alright, but I was expecting more of a slice of life comedy considering the synopsis.
This gives off the same vibes as Frieren. The story is about the lives of many characters and their partings with the Mc.
I really like how the Mc gets a lot of growth throughout the story. How each companion weighs on the heart of Mc and impacts how they act in the next arc.
Personally, I think the first 3 arcs were the strongest, but the 4 the one was good. The 5th one feels a bit more stagnant, the Mc not having grown as much, even feeling like he's regressed a bit, but overall it is a bit too early to pass judgment on it.
It is hypocritical.
The story is about a teacher who does things differently all for his students, but the whole focus is on why teacher Lin is just better than all the current teachers. the majority of the books is just the usual face slapping, but educational department version. I find it ironic that the story had a segment where they criticized movies and tv for doshonoribg professions like medical and fire rescue, but now the author does the same thing for teachers?
There are some good points, but all in all, this story exists soley to criticize the inadequacy of Chinese teaching rather than actual teaching.
Not the biggest fan of the premise, but I do genuinely like the characters.
The characters aren't perfect and they feel tropey, but I like that they have depth beyond cute girl, or, serious girl.
