Its quite entertain for me, but in america catholic church not bigger group or majority, its protestan. I think author not research it very well, because i dont see protestant or evangelist church faction (yet), they are bigger christian group in those continent, but barely mention it, even when mention about some mysterious/supernatural organization, only vatican get mention as christian face/side. Also if you read this kind of genre/theme you will encounter the mc will become yellow skin people in america, this is the second novel i read where the priest is "yellow skin" aka chinese descendant or imigrant in america. + Poin from this novel is i dont see any racism or racist trope toward black people (yet).
how should I put this? The MC's cheat is supposed to help him avoid danger, but for some reason, the choices he makes (which seem very beneficial) end up triggering a chain reaction that lands him in a tough situation. Like, he just stays quietly on the mountain and takes care of a crane, but that very choice also makes him an enemy of Lu Jie and possibly his daughter (though the MC saves her later, and they might become friends or something in next chapter maybe). Now, doesn’t this already conflict with his cheat ability?
