Read 179Ch. #177
Meh, the storyline is okay but the Mc is completely reckless and hasn't died yet only due to plot armor. For example, as a soul douluo he tried to charge into the core area of the star dou great forest and was only saved by heavily dream ice silkworm. This kind of thing is basically a common theme throughout the novel. He does someing stupid and reckless, he gets saved by outside forces after thinking he's going to die and then he gains something from the act of attempted suicide. Rinse and repeat. As of chapter 170 this has happened at least 8 times, thought it would be more if you count the times where the consequences was only being crippled instead of death. So while the novel isn't bad per se, the personality of the Mc is just completely brainless and relies completely on luck to survive.

The novel was okay, Mc dragged things out for way too long and put too much value into his promise to Mito imo. He and kushina went through a lot of danger for a promise to a dead woman. She basically made him promise not to hurt konoha in any way, so he could only passively accept a beating from the konoha F4 and could only retaliate in minor ways. Imo, your word is important, but it's not nearly as important as your and your families wellbeing. This promise and his stubbornness to keep it added to much nonsense, repeat filler to the novel. Forced him to use politics. As for the people saying the hatred he recieved from the Uchiha is unrealistic, I disagree. An ancient Japanese clan that deeply prides itself on its ancestry, honor and bloodline limit would definitely treat the son of a 'traitor' and a criminal like garbage. In ancient Japan, the Clan would have straight up killed the kid from what I know about Japanese culture where collective honor is super important.

Meh, it was really good for a while but when everyone started ascending to godhood it became trash. He devised a method of ascending humanity via immortal cultivation (foundation building, golden core, nascent soul etc.) and then randomly decides to accept shura God's throne which will completely restrict him. Utterly baffling. All that buildup to forging his own path, creating his own destiny, relying on himself, all for him to literally just take the most used path in every douluo 1 fanfic ever. Utterly disappointing. I was expecting him to ascend to godhood by forming his nascent soul, after all he finished his golden core a while ago which brought his strength to the absolute peak of the Douluo Continent. Instead he becomes shura Godhood using an external soul bone. Boring, next.

I'm not sure why everyone is giving the book such high ratings. Sure, it's not garbage like many novels out there, but it's ridiculously boring. The Mc has 'luck' as his cheat which basically means he is completely passive about life and doesnt work for anything every. Things just get dropped in front of him. If it was this but also had good humor, romance and fights it'd be okay. But it doesn't have any of those things. Mc is an auxiliary soul master, the story isn't funny at all and the romance is him just passively accepting women. I've never read a more boring story in my life.

There's too much random Chinese cultivation bull crap getting injected into the novel. I wouldn't mind if it was used in a way that made sense, but it's just nonsense. This guy is somehow a Titled Douluo with only four rings. That's just one of the absurdities in the novel. Words like qi and blood, Dao, five elements corresponding to five vicera and such nonsense are thrown around as excuses for the Mc absurdities.
