Very likeable characters

Interesting premise but probably limited by the author initial chapters at least have almost no direction. For example they would have checked where they were astronomically and examined the crap out of his hands etc but they just go in shoot stuff and leave. The government lets him wander around and the guy who found him and knows the secret is still free etc etc
