middle school syndrome. written for emotionally stunted teenage boys. extremely melodramatic for no reason. tries to do the whole noble hardworking strong shōnen MC shtick but everything about its attempts at doing that ring hollow and are so easy to see through to the point where it breaks any sense of immersion to the story. extremely corny at best and at worst it’s plain infuriating. can’t help feeling personally slighted by the writing, surely the author must think the reader is a newborn calf if he believes his hamfisted cliched writing can get anyone meaningfully emotionally invested in this book.

first off all i just want to say that this is much better than the other one on here with the same premise. i think anyone who’s into really arrogant and retardedly domineering would absolutely HATE this. do not read if you are brain dead and like Long Aotian characters. the MC is generally very nice, he doesn’t like going out of his way to kill people while still being decisive enough when it comes to his enemies. he’s no saint but he’s no asshole. has a solid set of supporting characters who have their own storylines and personality that do not revolve entirely around the MC (think something like what you might have read in Top Tier Providence). a huge bonus is also that MC isn’t a sex starved incel sex offender and is for the most part just a normal guy.

there’s literally a chapter where the MC r*pes a woman at GUNPOINT. even putting aside the fact that he’s a rapist, MC is like a teenager’s idea of a “cold-hearted” and “ruthless” man who is actually just a bad and stupid. the whole book is juvenile and every interaction between different characters (especially in the chats) is negative IQ while being completely inconsistent with the premise of the book.
honestly the only reason i can think of for this book even existing is that it’s some kind of a self-insert power fantasy for the author.
