It's a japanese light novel in all ways that matter, if you judge it by that standard then it's pretty enjoyable, it's actually kinda weird that it's in this site considering the style of novel that usually gets translated here.
System novels already have a lot of problems most of the time, but this one manages to be worse than usual, not worth it.
Also, it's a villain simulator, but the MC already was a villain before getting the system, so it might as well be a life simulator for all the difference it makes on the MC's morality.
It's one of the better written Soul Land Fanfics, which makes it a shame that I personally didn't enjoy it after a point.
It's a simulation fanfic where certain key people besides the MC remember the simulation, pretty common for this type of novel. Also pretty common, the simulations are way better than the plot in the real world and the contrast between the quality of both parts of the story doesn't help either, at times I wished the main story would hurry up so I could get to the next simulation.
The main reason why I had that feeling was how the real world tended to focus on interpersonal relationships and the MC is a complete moron in that department. Contrary to how he was always focused during simulations, when it comes to the real world he acts like a two-timing scumbag from a soap opera.
Now, if he actually owned up to it I wouldn't be so annoyed, but the problem here is that he's extremely indecisive about it, to the point that all girls he's seeing know about each other but he refuses to acknowledge the situation. When compared to how driven he is in simulations it just highlights his sortcomings in an extremely annoying way.
It's alright, the strong point is the exploration of cultivation mechanics through the druid system, every other aspect is either generic or non-existant.
An outright negative is how ever since the MC went public, the author started glazing the MC at every opportunity, to the point that even when a side character has a personal achievement, they go out of their way to praise the MC, it's kinda ridiculous.
Pretty good, it's basically a parody shonen anime but the MC is aware and actively promoting the plot for popularity, which nets him points he can exchange for benefits.
I usually dislike systems because they feel like a crutch for plot progression, but in this case removing the system would actually be a negative since the audience reaction is part of the appeal.
It doesn't change the fact it's a crutch, but it's entertaining so it gets a pass.
Pretty good, it's basically a jumpchain adventure through various generic chinese novel settings, taking over the villain to protect the female lead. Each story is self contained, so you don't need to read in order.
Pretty well written for a Soul Land fanfic, while Tang San is still the antagonist, the author actually wrote a coherent story instead of just a hate mail of how much they hate Tang San like the majority of Soul Land fanfics.
If you are a fan of extensive exposition on a world's settings, you will probably enjoy this one.
Addendum: Author nuked his own worldbuilding by introducing an entire 'Eastern Universe' (Xianxia Expy) just to explain all the chinese idioms he has characters other than the MC use.
It never explicitly appears in the story, but suddenly all the cultural influence you could excuse as just the style of the author now makes it seem as if the 'Western Universe', the setting for the race of reality warping multiplanar warmongers he spent the first 50+ chapters of the story describing as god-like, is just a protectorate of this 'older' 'Eastern Universe'.
Why the author did this instead of using the ready made excuse of transmigrators I'll never know.
